Hello everyone, we are working towards a quality of life update for Killing Floor 2 and I want to let you know what it entails. We are expecting this update to address several bugs and bring the Steam Modding Workshop online.

First I want to talk some details about the modding workshop (or you can skip below to check out the WIP changelog). With Killing Floor 2

Also as part of an effort to engage more with the community we will be hosting our very first internal livestream next week. We will be answering questions from the community (start asking below and we will try and get to many of them!) and showing off what is coming next. You

All very good news! Glad to see some fixes for stuff that really needed to be addressed (some have been there for quite some time :p). We'll see how the livestream goes and what ideas we (devs and players) can come up with to tune some of the balance issues. After all that's the point of Early Access :)

This will remove the need for redirects as the Workshop will be a global redirect that is constantly updated by the author of the content!

Do I understand it correctly? When a server has subscribed to mods, the client connecting to that server will automatically subscribe as well, or is the client just provided with the mod files via the workshop servers for faster download?
I hope the latter is the case, if so then this is an amazing pice of update!

How does the team feel about the balance of the Fleshpound as a whole? In particular, I'd like to hear feelings about the mechanic for him to rage until he hits someone, as I feel it makes them a very frustrating enemy to fight (especially with their combo follow up attacks).

That changelog is great, good to see a lot of the things that are annoying to play around getting fixed. Same with the ranged attacks opening doors deal. Workshop'll be awesome to have functioning, especially with how slow/tedious it can be to try to get a custom map game going, for more reasons than one depending on the scenario.

Thank you for giving us the details ahead of time, it's very appreciated.

Glad to hear about the livestream, I'll be sure to tune into that if I can. I suppose as far as questions go I'd like to fire the following related ones off:
What does Tripwire think of the Hans fight as it is right now? What's the inside view on the community's feedback relating to the fight? Are any sort of changes mechanics-wise planned for it in the future?

Nice, most of these issues I've seen so it's good to see they're fixed. The open welded doors one was funny; you could shoot through a welded door as if it were open.

My questions in no particular order of importance:

1) What are your internal numbers showing when it comes to things like class, perk and weapon choices, and what does that tell you? Furthermore what do you intend to do (balance) based on this info?

2) Why did you make zerker's knockdown so RNG based when it's so important for survival? Why not just a cooldown for each zed? All gunslinger has to do is shoot a zed in the leg.

3) Have you considered the proposed mechanic for the pulverizer of letting us choose between the explosive attack or a heavy swing?

4) Why did you change FP's AI so much from the first game? You had an interesting mechanic that people liked. Now the only way to kill him without someone taking damage is team spam or exploiting pathing AI.

5) What is your reasoning for the explosive resistance stacking for non-boss zeds and the massive explosive resistance for bosses? It makes demo less fun and the worst class for boss waves when it was the best in KF.

6) Are you planning on changing Hans so he's not completely OP against classes without a movement speed bonus and doesn't require a zerker damage sponge?

7) Why do you insist on spawning groups of zeds right around the next corner?

8) What happened to voices for all the zeds? They have no personality anymore.

9) Why did you nerf Zweihander so much?

10) What are some of these crazy ideas you guys have come up with that you mentioned in the previous WWAUT?

Bonus question. Who is your daddy, and what does he do?

Thanks for the feedback.

I actually didn't like it in the first game, watching one Commando / Sharpshooter / Berserker poke him every few seconds and kite him around the map until he died was just really boring. Hans has that problem right now, where people kite him around for 20 minutes.

And the Zweihander is fine, it's only a one-time purchase of 1000 dosh, no ammo required. And it does a fine job for that price, you can buy it on the third wave and you're set the rest of the game.
