lol that microwave gun though, they should totally have it where after the gun runs outta ammunition in its "magazine" it should make the beping sound a microwave does when its done.

Over here, no not there, here.
It just looks like it's suspended without any actual components. I think putting some more electrical components on the dish such as wires or tubes connecting to the main body would make it look a bit more believable.
Thing with dishes is that the dish itself doesn't produce the signal, so no electricity needs to be run through it, the dish just serves to direct the signal, broadly speaking.

Oh god that'd be fantastic, ding! Turkey's done!

I can't see the microwave gun but I must say that firebug perk skill tree and passives are looking good! I bet the ammo capacity gets pretty high, and it gets real expensive to fuel your tools but better with more starting ammo! Perfect for me, I like blasting flame without a target sometimes.

Nice touch with the flaritovs too. A good utility to have!

And what if it's a passive fire resistance for the whole team when a firebug is about? That was my first thought anyway, kinda like bodyblocking husks in a minor team-wide way.

And 2 weeks eh? This gets better and better, probably my favourite WWAUT yet. Thank you guys for making this stuff!

Footnote: sweet character choice, I was just thinking the other day how good it'd be to have a WW2 guy in again.

Would it be safe to say that it will be ready for release in 1 to 2 weeks? Based on the graphs, most of the work seemed to be finished with the exception of the Engine-related work.

I'll try to answer but I'm not really the guy for it. That in mind:

I recall an earlier WWAUT saying that once this graph hits 0, it goes into the hands of the QA team yes? And they test it for any more bugs, things that could have been missed etc, combing the content.

That was a while ago so things may have changed, but what I'm saying is it may be more than 2 weeks still. That graph can still go up and down for any reason at any time it's being worked on, depending on how smoothly everything goes.

That's the closest I have to an answer for you!

Great!
I've been keen to see a WW2 German Soldier in this game! Heil!:D
Also, the Dev chart indicates that the work for the content patch would be complete within 10 days(so far).
Can we assume that the patch would come online in next 1 or 2 weeks?:)

Ooh couple of questions:

How is firebug's viability in terms of bigguns? Is it that same old romantic story: "Firebug burns stuff, firebug didn't see that scrake, Scrake wipes the floor with firebug and gets spat on by his team"?

And flame weapon damage, is that direct damage, afterburn damage, both? Grenade damage increase?

EDIT: Scrap question 1, I forgot how microwaves work. I bet it'll be a powerful T4!

These skills look good. i think i will go with flareitov (depending on how long the flares last), Heatwave, though i suspect it wont work on the big guys like skrakes and fleshpounds.
Now i really like the Burn perks, but i need to see which is better, a chance of a zed exploding or guaranteed chain reaction. I think Napalm would be better suited for the Dragonbreath Trenchgun.

It seems the splash damage is limited to just the molotov right now, so this perk seems to be so far of little use. but if the flare revolvers and the husk gun returns, then i can see use for this. unless the microwave gun is the new husk gun.

the last skills are interesting, i would probably go with the explosions to stack with the zed shrapnel for maximum fiery explosiveness.

Now i wonder how the microwave gun works, i think it's like some kind of war of the worlds heatray. or it can explode zeds into mists of boiling blood.

Heatwave may work on bigguns, maybe, if you pump out enough flame it may build up to a stumble, perhaps...We'll see!

That's a good idea with the trenchgun, didn't even think of that! I've only been thinking about the flamethrower in relation to these, which was silly!

Honestly when I saw splash damage, I related it to the flamethrower, maybe the caulk 'n' burn and maybe the microwave gun, possibly trenchgun too. I would have thought it meant either the width of the cone or how large an area a flame impact effects. Splashing off a wall around a corner or hitting one zed and burning the ones adjacent to it, for example.

If it's the latter it'd affect the trench gun too I'd say, if it works like KF1 where each pellet had a small aoe impact.

I like the last skills too, I am leaning towards the flame explosion one aswell but I'd be rushing to get a kill every time, likely using up ammo! Though I like the sound of the second one if firing on bigguns is okay this time.

Microwaves cook from the inside out, no? I bet it'll be a hard hitter for tougher stuff, I hope so anyway!

another positive thing to think about is that that by the next wwaut it will most likely be just about complete and in testing (honestly they should just let us test it, i mean thats what early access is for)

Anyways looks like were going to be seeing only 1 more wwaut post about this update (2 tops probably), and that puts a smile on my face

Thanks for the update Yoshiro. Can you tell us if in the future, will the game have relatively more real-life weapons, as opposed to all those sci-fi horzine prototype weapons? I kinda had a dream about the Battlefield 3 assault rifle and shotgun arsenal being added to the game. I realize that's not going to happen, but maybe just a little bit?

In hell
I must say, the perk skills certainly seem much better and more thought-out for the firebug than the current perks at launch. When I looked at the medic, commando, support, and berserker perk skills at launch, I decided what I wanted and only ever used one type of combo. The firebug (and soon-to-be improved berserker) make me think tht I might actually change up my perk skill loadouts from time to time.

Anyway, nice work TW, the community can't wait for this update.

You know...i was expecting a husk gun v2 and instead got a microwave gun....i am 500% ok with this.

My god the firebug is going to be so much fun. Also the cryogenicly frozen German solider is awesome and just adds that little bit more to the image of who hans volter is, a tremendous asshole.
