Update confirmed for Soon(TM). ;)

(That said, are you planning on releasing charts of estimated dev days left once you all have a rough idea of how long it will take, like before the InD update?)

people say that the update is going to be today, is that real?

Let us wait... I believe that in addition the perks and maps, are correcting several other minor problems! I love the idea of exploring the map... floor throughout its extension. In KF1 is very cool, but in KF2 the players not leverages 10% of maps... always are in the same location!

Alright, it's InD all over again. Honestly, I pulled through this waiting game last time relatively well (even though I was pissed as hell). But this time, all my hype is gone. I'm legit not excited for the Gunslinger update anymore. I might not even be around for the update after that one.
Alright, I probably will, I still have a passion for KF. 2-3 months of waiting will probably not kill off nearly 5 years of Killing Floor addiction, but you get my point.
I mean, Yoshiro, if you are reading this. Do you or anybody at Tripwire think that this update schedule is good? Because I hate it. You have guns ready (the way we see it from these posts). Why not release them offperk so we can at least try the weapons out? Is it that expensive to roll out a weapon update?

Just because I show a weapon in game doesn't mean it is buyable from the trader yet or any other number of things that need to be complete before it is in a releasable state.

Also if we stopped to ship an update when every single weapon came on line it would look something like this:

1) Freeze build for update - no additional work gets done - 1 week for bug fixing and tiding up
2) Ship off perk weapon
3) Release and repeat until all weapons are done - 3 more weeks aprox.
4) Recode all the weapons to be on perk - more time up to a week
5) Release perk

This would likely add 1 to 2 months to get the final perk out the door.

If the weapons take that long, which is a reasonable time, somewhat curious how the perk making process goes. Probably like 3 weeks longer

There is a lot of initial iteration with the perk skills. First in design and on paper. Then we get a rough pass in game and test against that to see if they are fun or work to do what we intended. At that point sometimes we revert back to the design stage for some of those skills. Then there is iteration in getting the numbers to where we feel they are right for a first community release with the entire office being used as play testers as we head into release candidate mode.

Yeah everything costs time and effort, I'd imagine petks are a lot more than just slapping code behind cool ideas. For example, my guess is Gunslinger doesn't have a partner perk to release with because Demolitions is being reworked (My best guess) and that alone is like making an all-new perk. Lots of hard work, work which I and all of you do appreciate once it does release!

Speaking of tests, do you think we might have a beta release like what you did with the Detonate n' Incinerate update?

At this point I think it is unlikely that will happen as we are more likely to do a straight up release just due to holiday time constraints (between Thanksgiving next week and people heading for the 4 corners of the globe to visit family for Christmas here).

I'm still trying to figure out the timing for the update with this post :)

Guess it will be around December 18th, 2015.

Just a guess, really...

RedPK > I don't remember that TW mentionned that they were going to release "two perks" for the next update.

If, by any chance, you are talking about a rework on demolition, I don't think we have ever seen a message about it from TW.

Patience peeps. I intend to play the crap out of Battlefront while I wait for the next update for KF2. :)

This

I'm excited about the gunslinger to the point where I am annoying my friends about it, but I am managing this by using doctor prescribed Fallout 4.

Some side effects include lack of Vitamin D from decreased exposure to sunlight so get some Vitamin D pills.

With a tiny grain of salt.
How the Pyro was developed. The chief likes ze fire > 2 months of heavy working refining on the weapon models and sound > 1 day testing > its to weak > 1 day of refinement > it OP as **** > approval = released the perk :p
