Over here, no not there, here.
Vidjya Game does state that you'll need to be able to see it, as otherwise you have no feedback on what's going on.
a mandatory compromise, i guess.

yeah, it's pretty unlikely by the time you Kill someone that enough Steam would build up (so a couple seconds) to cause them to explode.
and if you could pump enough Energy into them to do so:

1 - wow, this is an incredibly dangerous Weapon, just by being near the Apex you're going to be almost as dead as the dude in front of you.
2 - if you can generate and pump that much Energy, you can do it in a more efficient way :p
3 - would probably turn into cinders from spontaneous combustion before they explode anyways.

Vidjya Game rule of cool as ever. making Enemies explode is cool and being able to see what's going on is rather important.
Yeah pretty much. I remember Bioshock Infinite had one of these and it was interesting because when you popped bad-dudes the effect was like blood steam which was pretty cool. Also seems like that would pose a considerable hazard to the user if he got too close. But whatever it's cool.

Since we have the duke nukem expander (err "microwave") in the game, I would like a shrinker + autoaimstomp like in duke nukem as well. Also maybe implement mirrors to bounce expander/shrinker (err "microwave") off of. More trouble than it's worth and probably dreaming, but would be a lot of fun!

Hell, why not a freeze gun (medic) and a devastator (demo) as well?

:I you say "microwave" as if it's not something that has existed for decades. As for it making people puff up ad explode, well microwaves do that. I dunno if it would actually do that to a person (I mean eventually but would probably catch on fire first) but y'know, it's the same concept as popping heads with your 9mm. Is it realistic? Nah. Is it fun? I don't think I need to answer that :0

I would frankly prefer more Real Life weapons to more Sci-Fi stuff such as the Microwave Gun

I find the Pulverizer to be a great middle ground, as it pretty much is a sledgehammer BUT loaded with frag rounds

I like a mix of both, leaning towards Sci-Fi if the weapons are creative and cool like they have been so far. I love, love that Microwave Gun!

Also why is it some of my posts work fine but some I have to wait for moderator approval? I made a post last night that still has not shown up.

I'm a huge fan of the science-fiction weapons, but I don't like them being off-perk like they were in KF1.

I always thought it'd be fun to have a class that specifically deals with laser guns and stuff. It could be really fun.

My theory is that the Special Weapons and Tactics class will be using electrical weapons since there is a tab for them at the trader.

We have the radiation gun, we need more direct energy weapons!

Let's not make a steampunk overkill like in the end of KF1 and it will be allright. It was still a good game experience but it felt almost like a different game with all the bling bling and the trekkie weapons.

I would like to see old style weapons, either World War 2 era or before. Don't really know how good they would be gameplay wise though, I mean how efficient would a blunderbuss be honestly?

I've always wanted a blunderbuss as a T4 sidegrade for support. Crazy damage with uber low volume of fire. Dunno if it could work though.

Would be really cool honestly. I really like old style weapons, like have flintlocks for gunslinger and give sharpshooter a flintlock rifle with a bayonet. I can dream. I enjoyed using the lever action in KF, not on high difficulties of course. lol

One of my teammates just mentioned two more weapons which happen to have some really good character in BF3. Could be implemented into KF2.
First is the FAMAS. It only has 27 rounds in a magazine instead of 30, but it has a crazy high rate of fire (1100, highest of all assault rifle's in BF3)
Second is the P90. That gun was so accurate in BF3, if you put a laser sight on it (which magically lowered the spread of the gun, too), you could shoot it exactly as accurate from the hip as you could aiming down sight. That was a huge thing in B3, if you wanted to shoot more than 5 meters away, it was mandatory to aim down sight with any standard gun. The P90 was exceptionally accurate.

I'd love to see those two guns in KF2.

27 rounds? Last I checked the FAMAS G2 uses typical STANAG Magazines, and the Original had some proprietary 20 or 25 rounder.

As for the P90 there's a pretty good chance it'll end up in the game eventually as some character voice overs have lines for a P90 and, if I remember, it was one of the guns shown in one of the mo-cap studio pictures.

The P90 is definitely coming.

I'm sure the FAMAS not having a 30-rounder was just BF3's balancing.

These guns definitely have a very unique "look" to them that would make them stand off the shadow of the others. Also, they are rumours that they could be included in the game *hype*
