We already have firebug's microwave gun which is basically a 40k melta gun. Now give demo a bolter-like weapon and I can die happily.
I want more normal weapons. Since the release of Microwave, i would like to see some energy/electric weapons too...
Shame the poll doesnt allow multiple choices![]()
Yeah I feel the same way. KF1 had a few fictional weapons that were restricted to DLC (and thus rarely seen) but I think it struck the balance just fine. Fictional weapons in KF2 seem like too much right now because they're a noticeable chunk of the available weapons. I'd just wait for more to come out.I wanted to picture a definitive profile of the game. It's either mainly real weapons and a handful of fictional ones, or not. A good mixture - a 50:50 - is already way over on the crazy side for me.
Even just calling the Microwave gun the Radgun would have made it less silly
Bolter for Demo
As long as it is steampunk-related, I'd have some sci-fi.
+thedeedtomyhousewhy?
it's specifically a Directed Energy Weapon, that focuses specifically on the Microwave band.
how would naming it 'Radiation gun' be less silly? you'd literally be naming it 'all forms of Energy' 'Gun'.
saying Microwaves in particular implies it's a specific Band of Radiation, rather than effectively saying 'space energy beam thing that shoots stuff'.
it also explains why Enemies explode. instead of dissolve or melt or Et Cetera.

Course obviously it's not perfectly realistic or anything
Well mainly what's unrealistic about it is the big flashy beam it makes (pretty sure you wouldn't see anything) and I'm really not sure whether or not it would pop someone; I'm leaning towards that it wouldn't.- *shrugs* yes/no? theoretically if you take an Energy Emitter, and 'shape' the emitted energy with an exterior force (probably magnetic), you could make a 'beam' out of pretty much anything.
same general concept applies to Plasmatic Weaponry... it could work, we just can't test it of course. but Encapsulated Plasmatic Projectiles could work.
