I like the over the top weaponry like the micro wave gun and most berzerker weaponry. But i dislike the field medic sci-fi guns instead of real guns with attachments like it was in the KF1.

Huh, I personally like them as since they glow it makes for easy on sight recognition that they are a medic without looking at the symbol above their head. Great for checking to see if they are in line of sight to heal you if needed.

Yea I love the mp5 too and I hope it will make a return on either the gunslinger or swat(If smg's are the swat's thing that is)

The mp5 is like my Holy Grail for guns that I want to own someday so the addition of it would make me a happy man.

I would love to see a strong usage of real weapons. Its good to have the essentials, AR15, AK, M4 shotgun, yknow all those wonderful common weapons you see in most FPS games. But I feel the need to use weapons I could never use in real life, or come close to. Im talking about guns that are rare, and out of the ordinary. Like, Spectres, 500 magnums, Pancor Jackhammers, weird AK variants, Gyrojet pistols(Made workable of course), Chiappa Triple Threat 12g, Mauser c96, FAMAS, Boys anti-tank rifle, basically hipster guns the average joe hasnt heard of. Now that would make things interesting. And I am all for crazy over the top zed killing weapons, whether theyre home-made, Horzine tech, or spawned from the fiery depths of hell or other supernatural planes of existence.

I think the more options generally the better. I like the different aiming principles for weapons (ie: flamethrower & microwave gun) but I do not like the continous fire of the microwave gun because it makes me feel like a ghostbuster. That and the micriwave gun's physical bloating of the Zeds is a bit too comic in my opinion.

I like all of the weapons both from KF 1&2... I look forward to many new additions to the arsenal but -at the moment- I'd like to seem more real weapons.

Oh and I prefer the Buzzsaw Bow (Cheetah) from KF1 over the new Eviserator.

I absolutely detested some of the sci-fi guns in KF1, because I really just felt like they ruined the balance and feel of the game that I had grown to love. Mainly, the Zed Eradication Device. I hated seeing that thing's existence. I remember the first time I saw it, it was being used to 'hamster ball' and slow down a flesh pound. Hated it ever since.

That being said... The Sci-Fi and improvised fictional weapons in KF2 so far are pretty cool in my opinion. They fit well with the new atmosphere. Just... Please. No Zed Eradication device, and nothing like it, ever again.

I'll beg and plead if I have to.

You know now that I think of it this poll really should have "A mixture of the two types would be perfect."

Right now it is too black and white, no grey option.

alright, you sold me on that. that makes a lot of sense, to have Weapons that are kind've out there, but function in ways that aren't quite so far out there.

even if i'm fine with a Weapon even if it was the 'most Sci-Fi Sci-Fi ever', i see your wish as a reasonable one.

As a Commando that was my goto backup.

interesting, i liked the .44 as my backup, due to having a quick Reload and being ridiculously light.
sometimes Flare Revolver due to being able to burn things, which never hurt for the Boss, since it was like GPS location while he was Invisible :)

unless you're just too attached to the iconic fame or the shape of the MP5 - there's been many superior SMG's to come into existence in the many, many years since the deployment of the MP5.
the primary benefit it has left in the SMG class is that it's pretty common so therefore inexpensive. it's other benefits are long gone due to competition.

Yeah I suppose I am attached to the looks, it is a hella fine looking smg if I do say so myself. Also I love the irons on it so for functionality it works for me.

But I still need to get around to shoot a Kriss Vector and see how that feels, and since it is .45 acp it would work wonderfully with a suppressor.

Honestly I'm for both. I mean, this IS horzine we're talking about here. If they have someone like the patriarch making killer clone specimens like the Fleshpound and Scrake, who knows what else the mad scientists of horzine were developing? That's up to the imagination of tripwire (and limitations, since it's very unlikely we'll be getting anything crazy like a ray gun or anything near there).

For starters I'd prefer a lot of real life weapons: there's plenty of very cool and very real weapons out there. I think it would be cool to implement some of the more extravagant, flamboyant (or simply cool) guns and melee that actually exist, all the more with the staggering ability of TWI for making excellent videogame weapons.
Fictional weapons are cool too, but I'd prefer them to appear after a while, like in KF1.

i wish i had one too, hehe.
supposedly the Compensator is so effective that the entire Weapon actually pulls down a bit rather than pulling up.

great for a kneeling position then, if you let it sit on top of your knee, or things of that sort.

It's actually not shipped with a compensator. It's the bore axis being perfectly in line with your index knuckle, and the fact that the bolt carrier actually recoils downwards (Following an ,- shaped path) that makes the gun extremely controllable.

the Bolt recoiling in it's 'V' shape is compensating for the forces.
it's not a Barrel Compensator, no... just miscommunication of what i was thinking and what i said. yes, it doesn't have a Barrel Compensator.

But I bet if you thread a good after market barrel compensator onto it it might give even more controlled recoil. :D

Even just calling the Microwave gun the Radgun would have made it less silly, oh well, ship's sailed.

Maybe the characters just call it that because of what it does to clots.
