1. Plan ahead. Think where the nearby specimens will be in the next 5 seconds, and plan ahead your shots to maximise your efficiency and minimise damage to the team.
2. If you have a sharpshooter dedicated to taking down the big guys in your group and you have to run past him, move around from behind. He won't be thanking you for jumping in front of him right when he is taking a shot, risking the lives of everyone in the team.
3. If you have a demolitions perk in your group and you have to run past him, move around from behind. He won't thank you for jumping in front of him right when he is taking a shot, causing him to take massive damage from his own grenade.
4. If things start looking bad and you need to retreat, it pays off healing each other while on the run. However, try not to block each others way.
5. Even if you are not a medic, heal your teammates. This will allow them to keep shooting. This is much, much better than everyone stopping for several seconds to self-heal.
6. When playing as a Demolitions perk, do NOT place all your pipebombs right away. Keep a few just in case. Also do not plant them on escape routes.
7. When playing as Demolitions, you can detonate your own pipebombs by shooting at them with your 9mm. This way you can set the first one off "early" to do more damage, potentially gibbing that Scrake or FP that is charging down the corridor, setting off ALL your pipes and still surviving.
8. When playing as a Demolitions, try to avoid creating smoke screens that allow specimens to close the distance between you and them. Especially if there is a Scrake and a FP. Let the Sharpshooter take them down first, and THEN clean up.
9. Do not stare at the kill count. They are just numbers. there is no prize for "winning" The survival of the team and having fun is more important.
10. Scoreboard is an essential tool for any medic, as it shows the status of the players.
11. Learn to use all perks. Learn their strengths and weaknesses. Try to pick a class that complements the team, even if it might not be your favourite. This will level your perks and gives you a wide variety of skills.
12. If you are going to change your perk mid-game, let others know during the previous wave. This allows them to decide if they need to adapt their strategy or change a perk.
13. If you see a skilled perk X playing, it is nice if you feel inspired by him. but for pete's sake, don't change to same perk late in the game if you don't know what you are doing! This may jeopardize the safety of the whole team.
