Ive just reseted my perks and xp zerk's perks only by using machete + axe in later wave ( In machete we trust, but not against a scrake that need to be downed in a couple of seconds when surrounded) . Machete insta kill most of the specs and 3-4 shot a scrakes . Kay, he don't have axe's power / range but it's definitely good to decap large amount of people in no time. The combo of these works definitly, even against fp xD .

Thumbs down Katana, when i see a zerk handling a Katana ... i just think "learn to play, beatrix kiddo's son" 8D . Just like when someone got a M14 , spam it and say he's a pgm ... beh .

You're not good just because you use the machete, and you're not bad just because you use the Katana. The Katana is nothing like the EBR, it's not like you're nigh-unstoppable with it.

Well, what you're saying is actualy true . But imo, it's more challenging using weapons that are a little weaker than picking up the best one / the imba one . Of course you're not a semi god with the katana but i think you will be more proud of you killing a bunch of specs with a machette / axe than a katana.

Just like lvl6 SS who join normal games and two shot patty when there were some players who wanted to deal with him xD, it's a little .. lame? There's nothing to be proud for by killing him that way x).

Just my point of view.

This really doesn't make a difference though, as different guns have varying aspects that make each of them good. Crossbow or LAR can be better than M14 in certain cases and are useful because of price and ammo. But the katana is strictly better than any other melee weapon, is cheap even at low levels of berserker, is the lightest melee weapon excluding knife, and does not require ammo/upkeep.

Machete costs and takes up weight for slightly better output then the basic knife; ie is uses resources and for nearly no gain. 9mm is worse as it takes resources and for worse accuracy (headshots make all the difference) and longer reload times.

They're not necessarily "bad" weapons, per se. It's just that the majority of people who use M14 don't know how to play their perk and xbow users take your kills. Sometimes.

Which is why I play with bad xbow'ers on ff servers. Because I wait for a crawler to get on top of them just to see them piss their pants and then I kill the crawler and they start listening to what I say. It works great sometimes.

Huh? Just how bad are these people you play with?

Which is the better weapon for a Non-Zerker? Axe or Machete? Just i took the Axe earlier on 6man Hard (as Medic since i was bored) and it seemed really slow. Its just been a looong time since i used the Machete.

The dualies aren't that bad :O well they are not a superior weapon, but they are better than the 9mm. As soon as you get in some routine they hit just as good as the 9mm with one important upgrade, you wont have to reload as often. I believe that most of the people haven't played it very much. Have you ever tried high ss level with dualies? It works more or less as a semi-bullpup with higher general damage and a lot higher head shot damage.

I can't believe people find it that bad :S

Well, that was Machete or dual 9mm .

Machete is my girlfriend so i took dualies, that's it 8D .

Seriously, dualies has a worst accuracy than single 9mm and SS is made to play with people who actually hit the head (M14...hahaha), thing that is hard with dualies and much easier with single one . Dualies are, imo, more for rambo users or keanu reeves's fans .

I dont really use iron sight on any weapon but I can still head shot most of the time. But I still think dual 9mm is useless, it takes too much weight and increase the reloading time and dont do more damage. If you need to spam bullets, ANY weapon of your perk will do much better.

and in my opinion the worst weapons are hunting shotgun and chainsaw. Really cmon, You spawn with a hunting shotgun as a lvl 6 support. What a pice of crap !!! I`d wish to be a lvl 5 all the time !!! This should be other way around, first that crap and then normal nice shotgun. And about the chainsaw I can find only one good thing. You can sell it !!

I don't think you understand the concept of this thread: it's about useless weapons.
Bad weapons. Weapons that are more likely to get you killed than the enemies. Like the LAW.
Obsolete weapons. Weapons with blatant upgrades so you'll never fall back to them. Like the machete.

The hunting shotgun is not such a weapon, if anything it's a prime example for a good weapon because each shotgun has a very distinct, unique function and neither of them is just an upgrade over the other.

Now try a little harder please.
The next person to mention the m14 wins a free roundhouse kick into the teeth btw.
We get that you don't like the m14 because it's too good but that hardly makes it useless now does it.
This is not a "baww I don't liek this weapons, its too good"-thread.

A hunting shotty, in the hands of a lvl 6 support, one hit kills everything short of a scrake and a fp at point blank range. Including all 5 of your other teammates if ff is on. Or it would at least **** them up pretty badly.
