The second map for the Perdition Campaign is coming along at a steady pace, so Fel and I wanted to let the community know some of the details. The first map,KF-Road to Perdition Campaign (currently as beta 2) will be released soon as beta 3. This will address several issues such as loading problems, more detail, and new interactive parts of the environment. Game play will also be tweaked. Map 2, titled KF-Perdition Campaign, will be starting off right were map 1 leaves off, allowing players to experience both maps back to back for an awesome 2 hours of hardcore game play (roughly). Expect map 2 to be even better than the first one (hard to believe right?) with special hold events and more intense game play.
Both maps will be sharing a texture, sound, and mesh package so that players will only need the 3 to play both maps (and the map file itself). The amount of content in both maps forces us to make these individual packages to avoid a system crash. It also helps with load time and overall performance when playing. Without it the myLevel package would be too large for even the most top end computers to handle.
Expect to see both maps available for download within the next 2-3 months. We are currently working on the last area for map 2. If you would like to help us test or check out other unique maps please join: 8.6.9.33
