I for one hope so,I don't want a water'd down version of red orchestra made just to please Australia,OR will it be like RO1 where the gore is just removed to please Big Brother infested governments?

I love what the makers of Aliens Vs Predator say on this matter

If Australia wont give adults the freedom to play a video game,oh well we wont ruin the game for everyone else and have no plans to make it less gore

for the guys that are

Australia only goes up to M-15 raiting sooo games like l4d2 avp2 are banned in Australia however l4d2 took out most gore and guns and melee weapons to please the gov.

But on a more serious note: I think you'll get the cut down german version.
If there will be a cutted version for Germany.
In fact, this is something that should be mainly decided by the local publisher. So, depending on the publisher, HoS could be thrown on the market uncutted or in two versions. Or cutted, of course.
Actually, I hope our local publisher will atleast try do avoid any cut. In the last time, USK ratings seem to have get more "relaxed" when compared to the ratings of similar games a few years earlier.

Australia, on another hand, is a completely different question. I know we Germans love to swear about the USK, but things in Australia seem to be even more exaggerated.

Well then I guess I'll have to download and install the game here in Canada before I move there..... that's just silly.

I'd be challenging the system over such a stupid regulation..... does Australia ban movies that are over M15?

Movies, Music, TV Shows and Games are all the same thing.... Entertainment and they all focus on their own selective age groups. It shouldn't be the government's responsibility to police and pamper the population over things it considers inappropriate.... it should be left to the individual adults in question and the parents of kids wanting these forms of entertainment to determine what is appropriate.

Just because they have "Game" in Video Games, doesn't mean "Games" are exclusive to children/minors, and since the average video game player to date is in their mid 30's..... trying to regulate this industry to suit minors and children only is just plain stupid, not to mention an infringement on freedom of artistic expression.

Unless the Aussie government wants to also ban certain music, certain TV shows, certain movies that are R rated, or even ban porn videos at the local adult store..... they're being two faced hypocrites over a subject they obviously know nothing about.

It wont be banned, but it may be watered down... it depends if this dick head politician gets voted back in again in the state of South Australia. He's the one who is blocking an R18 classification for games, for the same old reasons, "games are the devil, games make our children homosexual mass murdering communist racists who like black people etc" (though the real one is to get votes from ignorant parents)... I heard that some gamers in S.A formed a political party in order to try and take his seat... haha.. good luck to them.. I'm just hoping this old dude has a heart attack or chokes himself whilst practicing auto-erotic asphyxiation, or gets caught with some male hookers or taking coke as they do...

otherwise you'll just have to source it from overseas which is what I plan on doing with Left 4 Dead once my business settles down after a few months.... no gaming for me, for now :(

Yoshiro,
my imported english version of RO was cut by one of the latest patches, like 3 years after it's release. I was able to play it uncut for 3 years and then it get's cut afterwards, giving me no gore anymore even though I imported it, that sucks big time.
KF is completely untouched nice fleshy fun with limbs everywhere, but after that RO was cut 3 years later I'm not sure how long I will be able to play it like that.

I'm quite sure the german version of RO2 will be cut also, but I don't know if I can get around this by importing the UK version, as TWI has shown you can also cut my english versions

I would rather buy a German/Australian version which does not have any gore in.

If you feel that way then perhaps you should not be partaking in these murder simulators?

and oh I forgot about updates, I guess they are done according to locality... so they may force censor**** upon me that way... damn.....looks like I'm going to have to stay in Japan

According to your preference in ROOST atleast you can make gore lower or even disable it completely (and i think those options remain there for hos). That is something else than governmental regulations for a below 18 game.

hey Australian homies, now's your chance to ensure RO wont be banned or cut or watered down in any way, the government is holding a public consultation on whether there should finally be an R18+ classification in Australia. Just go to this site: http://www.ag.gov.au/gamesclassification have a quick read and voice your opinions. Make sure you get ALL your friends to do it too, and make sure you make good arguments, like how many gamers are adults these days and they deserve to be able to decide and self censor etc. Make sure you don't say anything immature like I did in an above post or two :p We want the government to take us seriously!
