Will it be possible to keep tanks for oneself?

I read something on the forums that it will be possible for the commander to lock the tank. Will this allow oneself to tank individually, without having to worry about an incompetent teammate ruining one's fun by entering the tank at all?

So do you command them what to do? Or will it turn into BF style where you control the whole tank?

More OFP/ArmA style where you can choose your position and tell the other crewmen what to do, or they do it on their own. You do not control the tank all at once.

But I will not be able to entirely lock other players out from the tank? So I can stay in the Commander position and have the AI occupy the Driver position throughout the tank's life?

Thanks! It seems like one will be able to tank alone then, which is a major relief considering I almost exclusively play RO for tanking, and as of late I have grown tired of drivers spinning in circles, making it impossible to hit anything, or commanders not firing at enemies that are further away than 10m.

A confirmation would still be highly appreciated, though.

Or when you spawn as a tank crew member, then the other tanks take off without you and you are stuck as an infantrymen with a pistol....

Well the devs have stated this themselves in interviews with the media. So I would consider it confirmed.

Everything in the fact thread has been confirmed one way or another. Everything there has a source listed, most of which can be clicked on and read. It is possible that perhaps some of the stuff has changed since the source articles came out, but all the info in that thread was confirmed by TWI at one point in time.

Im really looking forward to having bots in my tank, firing the gun, or driving whilst im trying to fire the gun,that should be fun,might even hit something now and again.
