Wierd Shadow on Ground

This is what i have been seeing at random places. I walked on it to see how it looked and all of the sudden ti just takes me in.

yup, I got that a few times too. Just a normal glitch. Or are you saying that you believe that this is acctually what killed you in the end of the vid?

there are no trees there so they can't be foliage shadows.....

They are foliage shadows (from the tree near the weigh station). It's a known glitch in our lighting system.

I've also seen some strange shadows.
