I don't think a dev can even add CF or SLI support. Most games just work once the driver team makes a profile for it.

Only a few games really do not support CF and SLI

If I don't remember it wrong I believe almost everyone can add CF support. Know that there is plenty of unofficial profiles for crossfire and from what I've heard it's a very simple thing to do. Don't know about SLI.

One would have to "assume" that if "surround/eyefinity" are supported, that "crossfire/SLI" would be too. The 2 usually go "hand in hand"....

But a DEV confirmation would be very nice....

Ok sooooo, you guys are talking about that its not up to the devs or the UE3 (I would guess the engine supports SLI and CF) but its up to the GPU manufacturer to release a a new driver every time new game is released????

New games have been released almost every week, its not like we get updated drivers for download every week, its more like every month or longer.....

thats why its important for gpu companies to have early copies so they can start early with optimizing their drivers and adding crossfire profiles.

The beta does not seem to support triple head (the resolutions are not available in the options menu). Do I have to manually edit the config file?

you could try typing the resolution in the console

setres 12345x3434

eyefinity monitors are correctly detected though both in portrait as landscape orientations.

Eyefinity resolution was supported in game, which is nice. 3D world looks great with Eyefinity resolution and FOV at 90.

But! The HUD is not designed for Eyefinity at all:
- Minimaps is on the lower right side of the right screen. Should be in the lower right side of the MIDDLE screen.
- Chat is on the left monitor. Should be in the middle monitor.
- When bezel compensation is enabled, many of the text become unreadable because text span from one screen to another.
- All the menus span across all three screens. Should stay in the middle screen.

Etc etc. I can post screenshots or give more detailed explanations if required. I'd say that currently Eyefinity is NOT supported by RO2 :(

I play with FoV 70 because at 90 the arms looked really funny.

It should say that the fov is based on what I believe is a 4:3 resolution monitor. If you have a wider monitor then it will actually make the fov wider.

So with a tripple screen setup a fov of 90 is probably closer to a fov of 180 or or something like that :p

Yeah the hud, gui etc aren't ideal for eyefinity or multimonitor setup. I hope that some of those things will change. But at least it works.

Eyefinity works but hardly. : P
It wouldn't detect my 5040X1680 res, so I had to go into system files.
I'll be patient and hope they fix the HUD scaling also.
Even the crosshairs are skewed.

It's a start though.
