Yes because only zerkers are noobs, only they are bad teamplayers. And the zerker class has of course the most noobs.

Yes yes.......I mean I've never seen a sharpshooter/commando killstealing before

I've never seen a supporter go rambo on everything and block the line of sight

I've never seen medics not heal

It never happened to me as a demo that some sharpshooter noob ran in front of my nade.

Maybe just maybe you guys have to realise that not every zed is supposed to be YOUR kill, I rarely see zerkers topping the kill charts if the team is equally good. And yes I do run in front of commandos and sharpshooters sometimes and you know why? Because those bastards would get all the kills otherwise, it happened to me more than once that I was running towards a group of specimen while the others faced another direction and when I arrive it goes *bang* *bang* *bang* and all the zeds are dead before I had a chance of swinging my axe.

@gusone

What are you on? Zerkers are only allowed to use their melee on big mobs otherwise they are noobs?

Funny stuff this whining really, justifying a nerf because of your irrational hate is good stuff........

/EDIT

And btw, my main perk is sharpshooter. I never really had a problem with zerkers in fact they often saved my ***. Maybe you guys are part of the problem....

Being a Zerker takes aim too ya know :p, I mean you won't kill a clot if your facing the other direction chainsawing a tree.
You need to aim for heads as a zerker.
Otherwise you can't 1 shot clots or gorefasts with the knife and husks are pretty impossible to knife if you always miss the head.

All I really want is an upgrade to the chainsaw and a nerf to the katana, if I'm going to play berserker I always sell my chainsaw for the katana now because the chainsaw no longer has any benefits over it. I used to swear by the chainsaw. D:

Have you even used the Chainsaw since the update? Its useless. Even people slagging off the Zerker admit that.

Yeah I have, I don't play berserker anymore as a result, I dislike having to use Alt Fire just to deal decent damage.

Friendly fire server. Regular berserker tactics won't apply there, he's more of a reserve to bail your *** out whenever something's gone bit awry or some random enemies come out from random directions (and yes, I know it's 0.00001% of entire KF player population, including me who 'leveled' his berserker to lvl5 only on FF servers).

I can somewhat understand the katana nerf but why they made the chainsaw completely useless is beyond any sort of excuse. It's been noted already knife is more efficient weapon than chainsaw in it's current state.

so when the rushing Gorefasts and Scrakes break your lines and wipe the team because a Zerker isn't there, you can thank the "Justified" nerf...

except that won't happen with the new guns that can absolutely destroy strong specimens from long range.

We must be playing completely different games then if you think berserker is even remotely balanced now.

It happens a lot due to people not knowing how to time their reloads. Sharpshooters/Commandos running dry, having done JUST enough to rage a Scrake. And demomen, whose 6 nades in the clip will barely enrage a Scrake and leave them wide open during the huge reload, are the chief offenders here.

Oh well. Doesn't matter. It absolutely doesn't make sense for me to go Zerker anymore. It's ineffective and, as this topic PLAINLY shows, very, very underappreciated...

Neither of those classes have any excuse. Commando's get a health bar and can take there time. Sharpshooters with a Crossbow don't care and kill it instantly and Sharpshooters with an M14 just reload before unloading half a clip into its head.

This is my initial impression as a new player, on normal/hard difficulty. I feel like the berserker peaks very early, maybe wave 4-5. By this point in the game my team mates will have good equipment, especially if I've been donating money that I don't really need. With all the cool long-range toys, they go from strength to strength especially once there are a few tier 3 guns in play. I feel like my fire-axe/katana is contributing very little... in fact I feel like I'm probably working against them because I'm blocking shots, getting in the way and generally being a burden for the medic. From wave 6 onwards most of my time is probably spent avoiding crawlers.

I personally have nothing to complain about when I go berserk and I still don't. Things haven't changed much except for the chainsaw (okay, I gotta admit, it's actually not fun as it used to be).

The progression of berzerker weapons has gotten pretty out of whack by now, and I wouldn't be surprised if TWI does a rebalance while they're planning for the next berzerker upgrade. Plus, there's the inevitable tweak of the Level Up update...and they may decide to do it then.

I think that tripwire shouldn't of made the katana so it's click for each swing since this rule doesn't apply any other melee weapons and it's quite confusing when swapping between them, how ever I do think they should add a stamina bar so depending one what level berzerker and how much the weapon weighs the player should only be able to do repetitive swinging for a certain amount of time, and I think that as the stamina bar goes low the swings should go painfully slow and lose damage, I think this would make bezerkers a more skilful class and it would pretty much balance it out against stronger specimens, I also think that the chainsaw should run on fuel but be changed back to it's old style so the zombie don't wander around after being de-capped.
But I guess all of this is just my opinion.

When did the chainsaw ever use ammo?
I noticed it has the mesh and skin for the fuel pickup, but I can't remember it using fuel.

I agree on the stamina bar, then you can't just melee to death on the clots and stalkers, which would have them get out of your way a bit more.

The hate seems strong in this one.

Yes yes a stamina system so berserkers kill even less and have it ten times harder than any other perk.

Give it a rest already you haters............
