knee deep in pussy.
Who cares? Use what works for you.

I like handcannon, M79, MP7, and katana as Medic. It's fun to use and effective in various situations. The LAR is boring to me. It's too bad that some people have such a rigid view of gameplay.

this. The best strategies are to do what is fun, and to do what the situation calls for. It's okay to have certain loadouts for certain situations, but it doesn't need to be set in stone

11 head shots unperked to kill a 6 man HoE scrake. I seriously hope you aren't trying to take them down. Kind of a bad idea in my opinion.

LAR is great for ones and twos, but it is no panic weapon. And I would NOT take a medic that actively tries to lar scrakes on my HoE team (unless it's an emergency).

My four cents (adjusted for inflation).

Yes well i only do it if i absolutely HAVE to.

I only like the LAR when playing as a sharpshooter. As a medic, I want a good "panic weapon" to clear a bunch of specimen quickly if my team isn't sticking together. I use the hunting shotgun or the dual HC for that.

With a better team, I'll use the crossbow to help kill scrakes and FP or a M79 to kill the trash from a distance.

People who use xbow on scrakes on fp's not as ss are killing their team.

Who cares?

I ask why people think it's so good

Back in my day we only had 9mms, lars, axes, dodgy syringes that don't work on moving targets and none of that new-age "magical healing gun" nonsense and we liked it.

Back in my day, we had to fancy guns! All we had were metal pipes, on good days! You kids these days with your machine guns, and your medical supplies, and your cockney slang, and your glowing money, and your organ transplants, and your electricity, and your Michael Bay movies, and your long-distance communication, and your horseless carraiges, and your organized roadways, and your educational systems, and your laws of physics...

That's my loadout there, I try to be a hard one and force myself to use the MP7 due to never knowing when the guy next to you will be on his bloody last legs.

HC's a big sodding gun. LAR ain't. Use what you're comfortable with.

Why do people choose the weapons they do?

As others mentioned, to have fun and/or to give the player some challenge, rather than just using the easiest weapon for the job.

If players were supposed to use specific weapons for a specific class/perk/whatever, then it'd be more like Red Orchestra where each class/perk would only have two weapons to choose from.

Sometimes people are better with light weapons while being medic, while others prefer heavy weapons, because anything else for that specific player might make them die faster than what you're complaining about, in regards to putting the rest of the team at risk.

When I'm playing Medic and not getting irritated with my team, I'll use MP7/HC/MAC10. I'm not a big fan of Dual HC, seeing as I can hardly aim the duals.

Flame me for my inability to locate center screen, I've heard it all lol.

Your poor execution of pin-pointing that which is known as the point at which both screen diagonals cross heightens my mind with amusement.
Good day, sir.

But seriously, who cares. As long as you don't use dual 9mm, then you obviously are the babby-eating DEVIL!

Yeah, I almost never carry an AA12 as support, I do a lot better with a pump shotgun. I don't like the fumbling weapon switching when the hunting/aa is on the same key(strangely, this doesn't bother me at all with commando).

Also, the pump does more damage per shot, is more accurate, and you can fight one shell at a time when you have to, and I can carry a HC or dual 9mms as well.
