It is part of our balance pass that we are working on for the game. The m32 was way under priced for being a tier 3 weapon and its power.

I forgot to get the changes into the changelog, but I'll have the full list in the next patch notes.
Yay \o/ I'm all for balance, thanks for watching the forums and it would be nice to have all changes (especially significant ones like price changes) in the patchnotes thanks :)

I'm leveling commando now.. level 5. Was looking forward to maximizing the m32 as an off perk but, well maybe i'll just have to level demolitions after it ;p

I agree. M32 > LAW. But just changing prices wont balance all weapons (m99).

I agree. M32 > LAW. But just changing prices wont balance all weapons (m99).

M32 > LAW only in specific conditions and can be hardly described as "op". Therefore, it does not need a nerf. Changing price like this is a slightly nerf and that's the way it's done. Don't modify it even more or there will be another "M99 way of balance" going on.

Surely M32 masters on taking out FP, but LAW is better against SC. Besides, M32 is an active weapon while LAW is a passive one. This means that LAW isn't good on taking out a specific enemy, but will drill a hole in a horde of zeds include everything except FP and PAT. In such a blow everything but SC are instantly killed while SCs are stunned. Such a powerful turnover effect is beyond any weapon's reach.

Think you're able to change the Base damage of the M99 to 240, the HS multiplier to 6.5x and the ammo cost back to 40 per bullet?

Because, it was overpowered as it is when it came out, and the only balancing they did was to make ammo prohibitively expensive, which doesn't do much to balance the metagame, and actually makes the community poorer for it, because it makes newbie sharpshooters a complete liability to the team.

The numbers can be adjusted a bit, but the idea is that it has around the same amount of base damage as the crossbow, but it offers better headshot bonuses.

Because low-level players being able to afford the perk weapons they need is something we just can't stand for.

I think this guy gets it. Very few of the classes I play (aside from Medic, Sharpshooter aside from one weapon, Commando) can get perk weapons at a reasonable wave just due to perk rank. (Currently my perks are all at rank 2-3.)

Seems a tad bit unfair that by the 3-4 wave my teammates are waving around weapons that I'm not able to get until the 6-7 wave just cause they have bigger discounts due to rank.

It is entirely possible to roll M99 sharp on HoE, without asking for any money from the team. I sometimes do that for fun. The only furhter 'fix' that M99 need is one that would remove it from the game altogether, because it can not be balanced properly without it becoming a reskin of crossbow.

Given its ammo limitations and prohibitive weight, how do you remain productive to the team while using it? I don't have experience with Sui/HoE so take this with a grain of salt, but wouldn't you be limited to only targeting Scrakes, Fleshpounds, and Sirens, and have to leave the rest to other team members?

Just SC's and FP's with M99. 9mm takes care of everything else. On suicidal it even feels unfair, given that anything from crawler to gorefast goes down with one shot. Sirens are quite harmless with scream cancelling. Husks often need some creativity to deal with, but still can be taken care of.
