I'm not sure why dismemberment, a feature that really helps create a gritty and realistic experience, has been edited so much to almost comical levels?
Take a look at the artillery effect in this trailer from 0:26-0:43...

It is the perfect balance of dismemberment from artillery, yet still not causing every soldier to be decapitated and torn limb from limb if an artillery shells hits somewhere near him.
Now when I'm playing in-game and an artillery shell lands around me, I'm instantly blown sky high and my character turns into this...
...except minus even the head...
I mean of course artillery is devastating, and limbs go flying everywhere, but it seems almost comical now when more or less every single artillery shell or grenade ends up with me losing all four of my limbs and my head, despite them not landing dead centre with my body.
It's a great game, and I love playing it, but I thought this is something that could be looked into.
