Im getting a little peeved off with these updates. I stopped the update at 2gbs when i realised it was for the beta.
I dont like wasting bandwith, and red orch has been raping my monthly usage with mistakes like these.

Sort it out boys.

Well i had removed the beta on release, including the folders on my hd. so why would it update and reinstall the whole thing automatically, without asking me first. And also the fact that when you turn off automatic updates in steam, it reverts back to auto once steam has restarted.
Not that i could of done that anyway as i had removed the beta from my computer!

How do i prevent the installation of beta, i dont want to test no more.

Just pause the download and wait for the tests to finish. Jeesh, its not that difficult.

Which i did, my issue is the fact i was away from my computer working, and i popped back for morning tea to see it already half downloaded automatically. I had no options to prevent it from doing this. If i hadnt had come home and paused it i would be 4.5gbs wasted down the tubes. I know a few friends who will come home to find they downloaded the whole thing, and be as peeved as me.

There should of been a notification or an opt out option or something. I didnt have the sound issue or any other issues with the game really ( i enjoy it, its better than bf3 to me). I get 90gbs a month living with 2 flatmates, dial up for a week or two is a concern, no ro2 for me.
