Mostly Soviets as the Mosin is my favorite rifle, But I will definitely be switching between both.

This, even though i enjoy playing with the MP40 and the Kar98, i always will look what team needs a teammember.
Realsticly i'll play both as an equal amount, but unless praticing a certain weapon.. But alot of the time it will be team balance, not right at the start but when i get good i like to join the weaker team to make the game more interesting so will depend on the map and how the weapons are balanced.
I'll be picking the Japanese, NVA and the British 
I don't mind; I appreciate both armies and their equipment for different reasons.
As for mods, I'll probably end up more as the Japanese for the Pacific one and NVA for Vietnam because you don't really play as them much in any game. If the Warhammer one ever comes out, definitely Imperial Guard.

When you're in a realism unit you usually practice with that one nation's set so much, you want to pub as the enemy just for variety's sake, but I usually just auto-assign. Most players ought to be masters-at-arms by now anyway and can't complain about this rifle or that rifle not "feeling right for [them]".
In the mod IC:V im playing with the USI'll be picking the Japanese, NVA and the British
In RO, I prefer playing as attacking team, 80% of times. In Darkest Hour, I play 97% time as Allies, regardless of attack or defence.

heavy preference for soviets, having to play vs a team of alvin fuchs-es is necessary to stop an endless parade of 5-minute games

Count me in on the banzai charges!I'll be playing more as the Japanese, cause nobody else can do bonzai charges.
I'll probably be playing slightly more on the German side, and that simply because I generally prefer their kit. There's nothing symbolic about it, and it has nothing to do with the politics of either nation or anything, esp. seeing as both nations were bonkers in that respect. But I will definitely be playing on both sides a lot, German or Russian.
