Sometimes there are only around 1000 players online...in beta there where 10,000...it's only been two weeks.

I mean you expect a 1000 players after two years maybe..but two weeks?

If major design flaws arn't sorted the game will be dead before it's fixed and eveyone would have moved on.

So this is no valid reason for you? You ignore the fact that KF sold around 100 times more copies than RO2?

TWI said that they would be spending more money in adverstising RO2 than the whole dev. for Ost and KF. Clearly, they did something wrong if only they only sold 50 000 copies.

A lot of people are simply playing the battlefield 3 beta at the moment / waiting for the stats to be fixed and bugs to be ironed out. RO2 is far from dead, and when a free weekend pass is issued / free dlc / mod teams get to work / SDK is out so maps can be made things will pick up.

How old are you?

A couple of old time whiners get the boot and it's the martyr treatment, god these forums are hilarious!

I'm 5yr old. My dad said I can surf TWI's forums a long as there's no pr0n.

I don't need to explain YOU whay I have that signature, or do I?. So move along and **** off.

and...

Killing Floor sold one million copies, whereas RO2 sales should be something around 50k, max.

Phibes, buddy, I posted that graph to show how fast is the RO2 losing players. Don't get me wrong, I REALLY like the game (as I love RO:OST), and I would like to see 10000000 players online all the time.

It's just the weird decisions about rare weapons and performance (the last one we now at least will be patched) that's killing it.

And it's not the "RO is dying" argument we've been hearing since RO:OSt came out. This time is serious

I myself am going to play the BF3 beta until it ends, then return to my sweet sweet RO2, it being ripe with updates and fixes.

BC2 expansions are like repairing a knife wound by trying to stab it closed with a new knife.

I know that this is serious, I was just pointing out that comparing KF's and RO2's player base isn't exactly fair or representing. And btw, you forgot to mention "KF is dying", something we've been told since May 2009 :p

No... they were the old maps just with other game modes, that also already existed, but only in some of the maps

the expansion was paid and terrible

But it had MG34's mounted on T-54's. How awesome is that? :D

flamethrowers were also cool, but geez, whoever designed those maps should to be fired and not be allowed to get a job as a designer ever again :p

For what they admit to being a serious and concious effort to market RO2 as a more accessible shooter, they really missed the mark.

I'm guessing like 35k out of that 50k were former RO players anyway. Which means they went through all this trouble and infuriated vetran ost front players for 15k casual gamers who probaly dont even play this anymore...

It's funny that Empire: Total War (an RTS from 2009) has more players than RO2 most of the time. All I can say is that I am one of those players.
