I love this movie so much. I was just rewatching it last night and damn. I've probably seen it about 10 times throughout my life it just never gets old. The epic Austrian snow landscapes, the amazing chase scenes and epic battle on the cable car, it's just classic. Best of all the old school WW2 commando flicks IMO. You can tell Tarantino took a LOT from it for Inglorious Basterds (which I thought was a great tribute to the old school WW2 movies, though I still think the original is better ;))

As much as I love modern stuff like Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, etc. there's something about this movie, just gets me every time. Ultimate WW2 adventure movie bar none.

Watch it if you haven't yet, it's got a pretty sweet score too.

What a coincidence. I haven't seen it yet actually, but I've recorded it and am going to watch it tonight with the family. From the few clips I've seen on Youtube, it looks pretty good.

It's pretty much Hidden and Dangerous in movie form ;). I saw the movie before I played the game and I could tell there is a tremendous amount of influence from it.

I loved that movie, watched it like more than 10 years ago.

But my favorite ww2 oldschool movie has to be Stalingrad. This one is really epic, I shed a tear in the end.

Btw, it's Stalingrad from Joseph Willsmeier, not the one with Jude Law as

Really? I had trouble enjoying that one. It just felt too overtly anti-war, so much so that it detracted from the story. Don't get me wrong I'm "anti war" too lol (who isn't?), but I dunno it felt overdone. Maybe I need to watch it again. Das Boot on the other hand was awesome.

I love the bit where Clint fires about 100 rounds out of his MP40 and they have that little close quarters shootout near the radio room. I like the fact they actually show the bullets taking massive chunks out of the door and wall which is quite uncommon in movies of the same era.
