Since the realism is lacking, and is less realistic than RO1. I was wondering when there will be a hardcore mode.

It's already listed, but there are only servers with "realistic" which is heaps easy...
There's little to no weapon sway, and considering the Mauser was near 3KG you'd think there'd be more than there is.

So I'd like to know a possible ETA on this, and perhaps an ETA on when the hero class will be fixed.

As it stands, RO2 is great and all, but the whole realism factor is lacking.

No, you just don't know what realistic is. RO1 was not it. RO2 is closer than anything I've seen, and I've been playing realistic tactical shooters longer than RO has been around.

I know this much, if you played RO1, based on the RO1 players I've seen, you're not as good as you think. RO1 was just protecting you from your mistakes. If you complain about low sway, then you are one of those people.

Strange, there is a realistic mode and that has to get more realistic?
Perhaps TWI will add different models for weapon sway for realistic
and non realistic gameplay.
9/10 players are pi***d off by this weapon accuracy, but till now TWI
ignores that - i dont think that behavior will bring them a higher metascore
rating then now and laser weapons also dont get kiddies from BF/COD to RO.

I agree that the number of smg's should be reduced by 2/3, the assault rifles removed, and bandaging removed, but the sway bit people seem to be asking for is really unrealistic, unless you've just sprinted 30 or 40 yards and immediately try to fire from a standing position. Even as a child IRL I never had a problem holding a rifle sight firmly on target for at least 10 seconds without the slightest bit of sway. I don't wanna see the game turn into a contest of who can best time when to pull the trigger to coincide when the blad will sway back on the target, in other words, an aim + timing thing. THAT is unrealistic.

No, there has to be a gameplay mode that is unrealistically difficult so that the small minority of whiners on the forums will stop clogging up the forum with demands for major gameplay changes.

Wouldn't more weight in return cause it to sway less? The weight makes it harder for hand shaking to affect your aim. Also, I don't know if you all know this, but when you're aiming against something/on top of it, you're actually 'laying' the rifle on it, which reduces sway. But if you're talking about just running and then aiming, I don't think it's honestly that unrealistic.

What maybe IS a bit unrealistic is the time between when you stop running and when you mount the rifle to your shoulder. But it's only a little too fast, nothing really serious, imo.

No wonder people want more sway when they think 3kg is heavy.

3kg that is spread over the span of a meter long weapon that has three points of contact with your body.

Seriously, hold a rifle guys. It's not that hard to keep it up and steady. I mean, they're basically -designed- to be easy to use, accurate, and lightweight.

Yeah, exactly. I think everyone's just accustomed to RO1's sway which imo was a bit unrealistic. It's not like CoD where the snipers have parkinsons.

I hope whoever is going to make "The mod" which becomes the standard to RO2 is going to include medics...As well as have some idea of what firefights look like.

.

If you've fired a Mosin or Mauser recently you would note that a capable bodied man/woman can fire these rifles with almost no "sway" from a standing position.

Hell I can fire a 1861 Springfield from a standing position and be "man sized accurate" to about 250 yards and that thing weighed about 9 pounds/4.1 kg

Yeah? Go do the same thing after tackling 4 flights of stairs in 5 seconds and running 100m.

RO2's lack of realism is beyond a joke and the only people truly satisfied with it are those who enjoy a more run-and-gun type game. The gameplay as it stands is too fast to be called realistic, regardless of whether you think you can hold a rifle steady in real life or not.

TW know they've angered the vast majority of its core fans, but they couldn't give a turd because they made the game how they wanted and many people appear happy with it.

The mod teams on the other hand, will use RO2's potential and give us something more respectable.

You ever play paintball? You seem to think that running gives you Parkinsons.
