I was thinking that when inside a bunker it would be a cool effect if under artillery fire or intense shelling from a tank that dust and ceiling particles would fall on the players helmets making a slight pinging noise-of course that would mean players wearing soft covers would not have this same effect but would hear it for others around them. I don't think anyone has suggested this before, but I could be wrong though.

I agree cool idea, i think also along the same lines, that dependent on the xweathereffect (ie wind or lack of) should determine how long dust particles stay in a shelled area.
like smoke but not as dense and earthen coloured
would be nice as im sure the RO reality of clear and instant vision both into and out of a HE strike zone wouldnt be all that accurate :)

I am in the army pal, but that doesn't mean that people who aren't in the army should be barred for desiring a war game with more of a sense of immersion either.

This is a gimmick I've always thought about sticking on a map.. tbh, it can be created on existing maps using a damage-triggerable emitter inside the bunkers.

It'd be a neat ambient thing for sure.

I think I just haven't made any maps with bunkers in them to do that with since I've had the idea.

i know a guy who created an actor, that even fires triggers when the object is hit, cant remember exactly how it went, i think it was also damtype relevant. ;) *coug*Maikop*cough*

Actually they were made exactly for this.
