In RO1 when you said "np" to a TK there was a notice saying "JohnnyNiceguy has forgiven KlutzyTheClown".

That does not appear in RO2.

Can you type "np" in chat to 'forgive' a TK when you are dead? Or do you have to wait until you next spawn?

Can you type "np" in the team channel or does it have to be in the public channel?

How long do you have to type "np" before it no longer forgives the TK?

How do you know if your own TK has been forgiven?

For that matter how do you know if you have TK'd someone, if you miss the initial announcement in the streaming announcements because you are in the middle of a firefight and cannot stop to look there every time you fire on someone in the distance?

I'm wondering where to type "np" too. Can anyone give a straight answer on that? Is there some doubt as to whether it actually works?

I usually just wait till I've respawned and my chat can be seen. Not sure if it does anything for their stats or ff count or anything, but I'd rather they knew it actually was np if it was.

I know it's a small thing but I'd like to see something similar to the old system. Actually, talking of small things it'd be nice if the communication menus took into account the map. You used to be able to give quick commands with a couple of keypresses, now I find myself having to look at the map and type Attack E or some other nonsense.

Yeah, there should definitely be a clear confirmation for all player actions like this.

Brilliant idea. When a commander for squad leader issues an order it would be great to have a one-key click to say something that will let them know you heard them and are complying.

bump.

Have observed, when you say 'np' as response to the poor/idiot/gaylord/innocent teamkill, about 5th or 6th 'np' will be displayed. So chat-box parsing does give special attention to lone np<newline> string - does it affect anything is another question.

I'd like to see RO1-style forgivness handling brought back, maybe with a rehash like: np subtracts 1 from your tk count when deciding when to kick/ban player for the duration of map. So polite people will stay, could even lessen fratricide effects with satchels and closely-placed arty strike. A quick 'np' barrage could see a good commander firmly in his position whereas a lame duck will get a boot pronto.

No, it was added by the developers after release.

In the beta I checked to see if sorry/np was working by opening up the console.
There wad a message saying something like "unknown command line".
So at that time is was not working. I have not checked since, I'm just assuming it's broke or not implemented.
I could be wrong though.

It happens very often that i don`t see, sorry !

But to get teamkilled happens me too much.

We must get the coloured text of RO1 back. So
everybody reads the text again.

But it is strange that you can`t see, np.
