whats happened to all of the players?

Give me correct stats and I'll help raise the numbers. So far the game is just sitting on my hd waiting to be played. I only tested it for a couple of hours and made sure I like it .
I stopped playing because of the ridiculous performance (20-40 fps, stuttering makes it feel like 15-25) on my PC that perfectly matches the recommended specs and the stupidly low FOV. It's really too bad, this game's a refreshing change from the generic FPS crowd.
Terribly balanced maps along with terrible optimization with a side of bad bugs.
This is probably it.
I'm waiting for stats to get fixed before I spend any serious time in it. It's a fun game, though. Beta was really good.
I said this was going to happen within weeks and my thread got deleted. I still play RO2 everyday, and I love it. B_ut I also participated in the BF3 alpha, and I think it was great fun. I also play COD4 S&D, and WaW and all those games are great fun, and those who say COD sucks...well you are missing out regardless what you think of the franchise.
Pretty much what others have said, i love the game BUT it's just sitting there now waiting to be played. Once the stats get fixed and it actully makes use of my X4 PII @ 4ghz and GTX 580 to give a consistent framerate at reasonable graphics and the sound bug is gone i'll start playing again.
Right now for me this is Brink all over again, i got that and liked it BUT it had so many flaws that should never have been in it at release i stopped playing it, when the player count dropped to what it is now (about a month it took if i recall) i gave up and uninstalled it.

CoD and BF3 are totally different type of games, I'm going to try the bf3 beta and that will determine if I buy the game or not but right now I probably won't it seems way to arcade
Yes, Mr. Know-it-All, I am special needs and can't aim a rifle sight on someone's chest from 10 feet away. The hit detection is terrible, a crap shoot at best with a rifle under 10m, and most people know it. And I'm a bad player, too, huh? How the hell would YOU know? You're probably one of the starstruck, faith-blinded automatons that gave the game a 10 on Metacritic!
Your answers to the bugs and problems with the game: our computers suck. we suck as players. we can't aim. we don't use team work. we just enjoy whining.
Your assessment of RO2: it's flawless and ultra-realistic! a 10 all the way! best fps of all time!

There are many populated low ping servers for someone in the UK. The problem is the ping shown in the browser is often a lot higher than the actual ping. I often find it better to look for the server names rather than the ping. They usually mention the country the server is based in. Many a "250 ping" server in the browser has turned out to be a 60 ping server for me.
As for the player count falling over the last couple of weeks. Well.. what did people expect? The player count always falls after the initial rush. Always has and always will. What matters is the long term. And predicting that based on the first two weeks of play is well... like trying to predict the stock market
40 low-ping servers is too little for you to choose from?!?
Did I say that? I just think they could and should be more. I don't mind anyway, I've picked the servers I like and added to my favourites, so I just cycle through them now.
That's quite surprising, I find it to be the opposite. The server browser showing 30 ping ends up being more like 80 or 100 in game, and that's with the server being in an area that would give me 50 or less in any other game. At least it's better than BC2 where 30 ping becomes 150 in game and feels like 250+.
Stopped playing is well. Theres just too much problems with this game atm for it to be enjoyable. Unbalanced sides, broken stats, clunky tanks, strange unlocks, and the list just goes on. Its a real shame that this has happened to this game, i really enjoyed RO1, but this is just a headache.

That logic can be applied to anything.
While bandaging yourself in seconds is possible in theory (although in no way realistic), flying jets at that speed isn't.
What happened ? IMHO I think it's all about bugs , performance problems and a lot of improvements and advantages for the AXIS side ( MKB 42 , Super MG34 , MP40 with low recoil and double magazine , upcoming mg24 , ubergerman nades that you can "cook" some adavantage to the PIV over the T-34) while the SOVIET are abandaoned and they don't get even historical things as an alternate fire for the PPsh .
I'm still playing the game and will continue playing it , but seriusly ... there are a lot of strange and bad thing with that release that I hope they fix in the future.
