No, the player count has dropped (there are still people playing though). It was around 7,000 a little over a week ago and lately it's been peaking around 5,000. I also get about 500 ranked servers when I open the browser.

And when BF3 beta is out it will drop even more, you'll end up with only the hardcore fanbase coming back to play it. But the way the developers have handled this game has been shocking.
Personally, I play very little (far less than 1 hour per day, on average) becuase of bugs, lag, poor map design (oh, the joy of being a German on grain elevator and getting spawn killed repeatedly for 10 mintes by all the window campers in the grain elevator), poor hit detection and generally being unable to pick the class I want at any given time. It's just tons of fun trying to storm a position filled with smg/assault rifle campers with a bolty or an anti-tank rifle.
The game has always had a consistent 4,000 current players. Never look at peak players. That's the worst number to base a game off of. It's not even an average number.
Mostly anytime during the day you can view Steam Stats and it will say roughly 4000 current players.
Also filter no empty servers, then you will say hey there are no empty servers

Yes, until someone decides to use the helicopter to bail out above you, all while dropping c4 on the ride down and detonating it before they touch the ground.

How is that an example of underpowered vehicles. You're using another vehicle. BF3 will have shoulder fired anti-air rockets for Engineer. You also need to fall a longer duration before you can pull out parachute in BF3. And fall a longer duration before parachute actually starts to slow you down.
