Removing materials from bsp and there are two materials named

1). BSP_Black_M

and

2.) RemoveSurfaceMaterial

Which one to use ?.

This is gonna sound realllllly stupid, but for a rising Storm Map, I want RS Player Start, not RO player start right? also, anyone have any good tutorials on how to set up role info, I haven't found any good ones.

If its only a TE map, dont worry about the FF and CD roles, also check out a stock map to see how rhey set up squads and fire teams. Unfortunately you cant copy the World Info properties from one map to another.

Easiest way to ''copy'' them is to open up the squad setups and taking a screenshots from them with print screen.

You can open the print screen in Paint by pressing Ctrl+V after you printed the screen.

Ahh good call!

I chose the wrong game type and had to recreate every role for both teams on my last map, that was a drag

I actually researched how squads were set up realistically for the time period and made my squad roles accordingly. Albeit reduced in size by a man or two. A small platoon.

Ok now, what went wrong and where ?. :D.

My map is 2048x2048 sized chessboard with white and blue color theme, except all of these destroyed tanks.

Wait, one second. This has happened before to me when I first started in the SDK, and with other people I was helping. Are you in the SDK playing this? Or is it not brewed and on a server/playing in RO2 singleplayer?
This would be why. This happens when the brew process goes bad or someone doesn't brew it before publishing it. The textures and materials don't work.

Im playing this in the workshop, but I didnt brew it. Might cause this.

How do you brew a map ?.

The Brew button looks like a small fire:

Brewing compresses the map and greatly reduces its file size. It then places it into your Published Folder rather than the Unpublished folder. This published .roe is the map that you would share on here or in the Steam Workshop.

But if this is happening in the PIE window, then I dont think it has anything to do with brewing. Does the map look correct when you view it in the 3D Preview window? You arent saving anything to an external package? Do you get any errors when you open the level that there are missing references?

Its not happening in the PIE and its looking as it should in the viewports and no errors whatsoever.

ok sorry I miss read your post if you are playing in the workshop definitely make sure you brew it first

Its working now 98 %, I have some bricks in terrain as foliage mesh around destroyed buildings and these bricks are showing up blue and white.

Also the feel of relief was huge as I saw that the fps count is not even nearly the same as it is in PIE than it is in in game !.

Good to hear! I had same problem with bricks in a foliage volume not having materials. I found i was using a destructable brick mesh which did not seem to work well with a foliage volume. When I replaced it with a small rock mesh, problem was solved.

Is this startup done right ?.

I spent some time with kismet trying to get hang of it but no success so far.

Map has 4 objectives and Im trying to make them so that when first objective is captured the second activates and so on to the end.

There has been only two results with different kismet setups.

1. After first objective gets captured, the round ends.

2. No objectives at all, they dont activate.

This setup was similar to the Apartments setup with 32/64 players.
