Are there any ways to set the packages to automatically load all the assets from published maps when you start the editor, and in that vein, if a map is published would it be bad form to use custom assets from it, or should I try to contact the authors somehow to ask their permission to use something?
For some reason the dialogue box keeps crashing every time I try to cook my map, after it says it is working on my map packages. Any tips?
Go to the static mesh advanced properties (select mesh and press F4), assign the missing material. BTW, make sure they weren't placed as a ROStaticMeshObstacle.
