What would you say be the most popular/played perk in the entire Killing Floor Com.?

Support>Zerker>Medic>Demo>Sharp>Commando>FB

Support is a fun and easy (easy as in completely OP) class to play if you watch the reloads. Which is why you see 6man teams of Support.

Zerker and Medics have the high survivability and speed, which is why you see the 6man zerker medic teams.

Demo is a bit of a spam machine

Sharpie takes a bit of practice but is quite efficient. Although the M14 is a pile of.. but that could just be me.

Commando is a great class that only falls flat with the really tough enemies at higher difficulties. I think its not given enough credit.

FB doesn't always get the kills on the board so people think its useless, again, I think it's being sold short.

These days I see it as such

Sharp > Commando > Support > Beserker > Medic > Demo > Firebug

Sharpshooter i've seen more people play as them than anything when I play a game. Commandos are next in line. i've seen far too many commandos in game. Supports are semi frequent as are berserkers.

One thing I've noticed as of late that seems to be gaining momentum are medics that play as one of above perks save for sharp and firebug and berserker with different weapons that don't belong to the perk that would be of next to no use, but using medic stats for the armor boost and speed. Like i've seen quite a few medics playing as demos instead of actually playing as medics.

It depends heavily on difficulty. It feels like you see tons more firebugs and commandos at hard and under while firebugs are mostly nonexistent in HoE. Hard difficulty is still at a point where you can still solo scrakes as a commando or firebug, so they don't really feel the need to change.

In terms of HoE however...

Support and berserker are pretty much interchangeable as the most widely seen perk.

Sharpshooter you pretty much always see at least one of in HoE if you want to win consistently.

You'd see one commando, but not very often. Also, they might change to support in later rounds.

Demos and medics, I feel, are similarly placed here. If there's no sharpshooter, there's most likely a demo with a law.

Then the firebug here. If there is a firebug, they'll only go till wave 5, 6, or 7, and then switch to either commando or more likely support. I think even the people that enjoy firebug understand that although it's pretty amazing at killing trash at earlier waves, the flames might block line of sight from that scrake or fleshpound, which means less opportunity to take care of it before they eat you.

my most played setup is infact 2 meds 4 zerkers. but this is with friends.

Newbeginners mostley play sharp.

but I cant say I agree that berserker is hitting so high with the most played perk in public servers since I bump in alot of player that have both pure hate for berserker or just it is lame.

custom servers I see mostley demos :/

Only because of the Hunting Shotgun auto-fire glitch. If that didn't exist, then Support would be pretty well balanced with the other classes.

Anyway, in order of most to least popular (bear in mind I mainly play hard difficulty):
Sharpshooter > Commando > Support > Berserker > Demo > Medic > Firebug

I've had more than a handful of games with 3+ sharps / commandos on my team. That said, though, I generally see a pretty even spread of class usage.

My thoughts exactly SMIFF, my thoughts exactly...

Combine loads of 'nades plus weapons that do insane penetration and damage spikes you've got a class that isn't just only a insane room clearer but can drop even the hardest enemy without to much hassle.

FP, couple of nades and AA12, rinse and repeat.
Scrake, wait for it to charge and double blast HS from crouching aiming up.
Corridor full of trash, any shotgun and say good by to it all.

Every other class (excluding the bug) has to pick his targets. Even the demo has a harder time because he risks killing himself.

Damn it, I'm going to turn this into another 'This perk is so OP thread'

In a past life it used to be Sharpshooter, but he went down in a blaze of glory during a balance beta. I was there and I saw it with my own eyes. Poor guy, used to be a tough as nails and fearless. Now he's practically scared of his own shadow, and he can't even pee in the urinals anymore unless he's the only guy in the bathroom.

Some might say what we did was cruel, others will say it was necessary. Me? I say we did what we thought was right at the time and that's all that matters.

1. Berserker.
2. Support Specialist.
3. Medic.
4. Sharpshooter.
5. Commando.
6. Demolitions.
7. Firebug.

Like others have mentioned; it really depends upon the difficulty of the server. My list is based off of Suicidal and Hell on Earth. Both Berserker and Support Specialist have become over powered, so more people play those perks now.
Support Specialist wouldn't be so bad if the Hunting Shotgun glitch and the below penetration into multiple Scrake hitboxes was fixed.
