the guns aren't the expensive part, it's the ammo for them that ends up costing you, since the gun is a one-time purchase, but the ammo you have to keep buying.

Given that I only have 3 hours play time, and I'm still learning, I would most likely die in the first five minutes.

Depends on the difficulty. If it's on suicidal or above you might as well just kill youself unless you have a .50 cal machinegun with crates of ammo in your house. On anything lower I think I could win considering 9/10 of my neighbors own several firearms. I only have a Romanian SKS and a Mosin-Nagant (with bayonets attached of course), but my neighbor has a big chainsaw and I've always played berserker anyways.

i have a friend who collects medieval weaponry, of course it would have to be a 2 hander a battle axe and whatever handgun i can find. I am not terribly strong (update coming soon) but i am agile, tough, and have pretty boundless energy. By personality, i really am a berserker.
