I havent played since last year in december.

Once this next big patch comes out i will be kicking it up a gear and getting back into it.

Also Lot of daylight....to much to do.... once daylight savings ends i will be in earlier and have some extra time to murder all of you in war. YAY.

I'm wondering what it would take for TWI to get people into the game again. Obviously most people, whether they play or not, don't actually use this forum. It would still be interesting at least to get a cross section of opinions.

umm... for SWTOR, and Mass effect 3, and Diablo II and other great games that are out and soon to be out to no longer exist. i still play RO2 as my goto fps, but RO2 isn't near the amazing I was expecting from my experience with RO:eek:st. So it gets played from time to time, but not nearly as much as my other games.

With the promised release of Classic mode I am sure to play it more often.

I want video from the reverse perspective showing how easy/difficult it is to hit the guy who has a 750ms ping.
I think you're fundamentally misunderstanding something. That person is, by definition of the client-server architecture, not going to behave any differently than anyone else from another player's perspective.

But don't take my word for it, feel free to try it out yourself.

Quite probably I was. Warping I have seen in the game is most certainly not due to individual latency and packetloss but rather the server's problem at the time. I'm definitely going to try it, don't worry.

I still play three or four times a week, but here is my wish list anyway:

1. a couple new maps
2. couple new vehicles
3. more refinements to gameplay to reduce the clunky, sluggish feel in game
4. less sway when crouched
5. faster iron sights
6. more stamina in exchange for a slightly slower sprint.
7. experiment with some new game modes.

cheers.

-hit detection
-body collision
-sway after performing actions
-influenece of stamina on actions ( more short sprints(like in RO) rather than perma sprint we have now)

Only these 4 points are needed and the Dev somes up with a complete new ruleset with changed weapons and whatnot........meh

I tried it!

I'll say, I don't know about the potential for cheating vulnerability and I was not able to try it out on either a full server or a server where my ping was >100ms yet, but from what I saw, the mutator is a great perceptible improvement on the responsiveness of the guns --or, I should say bullets-- in the game. I will try on the German server if I can find it.

It was also really nice to get a peek under the hood of bullet penetration in the debug mode, to physically investigate where your bullets went and what they penetrated.

In your mutator, Mekhazzio, shooting feels great with no guessing games. I don't think I saw any significant drawbacks, but as I said my trial had some issues in that nothing extreme was tested (neither very high pings nor fully loaded server). I can say that where I was on the fence about this issue, I'm off the fence and can't but think this mutator is a great addition to the gameplay.

I suppose the only problem now is that the battlefield gets even more deadly, and people that want "nerfed" shooting (with more sway, etc) may really feel their woes when it comes to what they expect will happen to them running out in the open. On the other hand, if we could just get a change to the breath control having it start on a breath from fatigue/suppression/sprint, and somewhat longer ADS time from sprint, all would be well though ironically this change also favors stationary shooters ;).
