There's a bit of a myth that RO players are mature, understanding and non confrontational - my experience (mod aside) is that that is simply not true.
In fact having played so many shooters including cod I've witnessed and been involved in more nasty slanging matches in RO than most other games.
With the best will in the world I'm afraid your reaction kinda proves my point - we can have a bit of an attitude towards ppl who play mainstream shooters, we take our game seriosuly and don't like it when ppl don't measure up to our expectations.

I also worry about griefers cos our 'serious' reputation means ppl know we will be easy to wind up.

I don't worry about your average cod player because if he embraces the game good luck to him, if he doesn't like it he'll be gone before you know it.

I actually have the same experience to be honest,I cant lie. I have had horrible fights on Osfront and rarely had any confrontation on COD. A few off hand from RO,I was doing my job as the sniper role tells you too - Kill the enemy sniper. I was killing him (Guy wouldn't relocate) and I killed him about 7 times,then he calls me out "Chekhov - you f**king camping a** noob." I Hate dealing with people like that who don't even know how to play..... He wanted to run the tower on Odessa,but I wouldn't let him :)

Another thing that I am worried about is servers and dealing with the admins who are on a power trip and cant accept an accidental team kill.... They call you out and make a fool of you. And you feel like your walking on thin ice every round.
There's a particular server on Osfront which I swore and oath to never play on again,I wont name it but they are the most rude,disrespectful,mean admins i ever dealt with. If you have the sniper role on their server their on you like a hawk wondering why you ain't killing 65 enemies in 2 minutes. And I hear they got servers coming for HOS,I ain't gonna be on them.
If anyone has a friendly server coming for HOS message me so i dont have to worry about that

generally speaking, those players are transplants from cod or battlefield.

because if you know and appreciate what ro is about, you wouldn't get mad when the enemy "camps".

If the is-2, mg-42 or Tie Fighter isn't in the game, it's not because they were never there. It's due to balance within the video game.

We should start a petition for the Tiger to be added to a couple of maps; maybe one at a time on combined arms and a handful on that one big tank map. :IS2:

(and limited respawn ofc.)

Actually there are only 2 games this year that could catch my interest

-Portal 2
-Red Orchestra:HoS



ah yeah and the expansion for Darkfall Online but this one is free.

If a KF2 was released at the same time. But even then, I'll still be buying RO2, just a few days later. :IS2:

Nothing! Unlike BF3 where Im looking for reasons why not to buy it so I wont feel scammed (again), RO2 is an absolute MUST BUY!!!
