Without telling me what this exploit is ( I really don't want to know ), would it be possible for me to keep 'doing it' without realising that I'm doing it, or that it even existed in the first place?

Because I never have any bother getting my hipshots to go where they should.

To an extent to can do it without realizing it. However to reliably hit something, you would need to constantly practice it.

Hmm, well I've been playing for 7 years or so, and I have practised hipshooting a lot, but never been aware of any 'exploit' with regard to it, hence my being convinced the weapon was staying centered.

Oh well, you learn something new everyday ;)

As it is right now in RO? Wrong. Can be duplicated over and over and over again. But I already have a warning for exploit explanation for explaining this, so suffice it to say that if you want to know how to do this, experiment yourself . I wont be drawn into that again and make myself a target for a mod that doesn't like the truth posted. But rest assured, it can be done very easily.

If it is the same in this version, I wont bother with it.

Just curious. What kind of missing feature\design choice will PREVENT you from buying?

I am with out a doubt buying this game. The real question is, what would prevent me from liking it? Well the only thing that I think could POTENTIALLY do that, would be the leveling up/unlock system. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with the game.

If at last second the devs go "screw realism, screw Stalingrad, we are making a game where you are an American in a war fighting Nazi-terrorist-zombie-pirate-robots armed with a bloody screen, invinci-suit, and a sniper rifle capable of launching homing chainsaws that explode into more chainsaws. That's before you jump 80 feet, shake it off, and then fly through a window in super-speed after pressing the 'shank button', and then firing red-white-and-blue rockets out of your thumbs into their eyes.

Then you go into 3 hours of interactive cutscenes and manage to secure the nuclear missile bombs from the Aliens, before the Russians randomly attack. This prompts a battle where you then take out akimbo automatic nuclear grenade launchers and enter slow motion, where the enemies become conveniently easy to hit. TWI would then betray me some more by making 11 sequels in the upcoming week, where you can rank up with every kill and become the Ultra Maximum Super Seargant of Insane Seargants to the Extreme Seargants to the Ultimate Seargant Super Max.

I would be furious if HoS came out like that, but you have to admit that would be an awesome game on its own merits (mainly the chainsaw that explodes into more chainsaws part).

I'm certainly buying HoS unless the Zombie Apocalypse comes early. Though I am a bit worried about the suppression system - I tend to hate it when they try to have your character's mental state effect your actions in a first person game, really kills the immersion completely for me. Also, the peripheral vision indicators seem like they would get really annoying in any big firefight where you constantly have people moving in and out of your peripheral vision on both sides, especially on a 4:3 monitor.

If BF 3 comes out before it with all the same features. Then I will probably wait until they drop the price on RO2

lol bf3 managing to have ro2 features. just lol. i'm sorry, but that's even more ridiculous than the various posts about ragnarok or a plane crashing on someone's head, of all the likely things to happen.

bf3 won't even have mod tools. it's cod-lite.

Not really in normal play (not in a way that would matter anyway), if you really wanted to exploit it, you'd have to both have a sharpie-dot painted on your screen, and do it deliberately before every shot, only then would it be exploiting.

But yeah, you can try the sharpie-dot thing yourself, just do it in an offline practice mode and nobody can complain about it, and you will quickly notice that just painting a dot on the screen doesen't work, the gun won't allways be hitting there in the hipped mode. It's only if people pair that with the exploit that it can be abused.

HA! never going to happen, features that is...

Even if it did, atleast in Australia EA would make it cost atleast $30usd more than ro2. Its not getting my money till is cheaps. :D

Loads of exploits you can learn and utilize in practise without realizing it. Just like how you can walk without actually knowing what you're doing beside moving your legs.

My biggest worry is that the single player campaigns will just be strings of multiplayer maps arranged in chronological order.

But it won't stop me from purchasing the game.
