Nothing... but since they have yet to release it... that kinda lends a bias.

:IS2:

I've heard that they are still working on the T34...

And I've got to comment.. from some of the more recent posts about the new glossyware they are developing for tanking.. it makes me curious. It seems like there is an effort to make the tanking more realistic... but they have this level up system that, as of right now, without me being able to play with it, screams gamey unrealistic.

So to recap.... super realistic tanking, paired with silly leveling up infantry.

I dunno chaps..:IS2:

It is starting to sound very questionable, sounding both gamey and as a positive feedback loop, and quite far removed from how it was origionally pitched.

I just hope it sounds much worse than it is, and that there will be no shortage of servers that disable it.

Atrocious netcode or performance (on a good computer).

That won't happen though so I'll go with the getting hit by a truck idea mentioned above.

To me honestly the game has got to be fun, sometimes we forget that playing something too real can turn it off from most players, the game has to be balanced between casual and hardcore and by the sounds of it that has been the objective.

Now putting that aside they mention that hardcore modes will still be in the game, so that work's out perfectly.

What turned me off sometimes playing ro was the fact that when you die you would have to run for 5 or 10 minutes before you get to the action, they have added new spawn features which sound excellent and no one should worry about it, because it will make the battle just that much more real, having a constant battle and more targets to shoot at and shooting at you increases the gameplay and builds up more strategy.

Somethings worry me such as the AI bots, learning curve, unbalanced maps.

One thing I disliked about the current RO is when I want to play usually there is only one room which everyone is in, Danzig....... why not play the other maps anymore, also some of the custom maps are brutal.

So dedicated servers with standard maps would be a must

The spawning in RO is what made it great imo, very tactical and would dictate your next move, although i trust Tripwire to get the new spawn features right.

Theres a good chance that having more targets will in fact reduce gameplay and reduce strategy.

After looking at the upcoming titles coming to pc i feel ROHOS is one of the last bastions of pc gaming and as such we have nothing to worry about:cool:

*fingers crossed*

Right. I've always found RO: Ost to be lacking a slower paced game mode or maps, that's what put me off as well as the netcode issue mentioned in the OP. Let's hope that HoS has something even for us tactics and teamwork fanatics. :)

Lack of LAN.

Not intra-net. Offline Local Area Network multiplayer.

Everything I have seen so far makes me want this game very much, but I got duped into buying BFBC2 because someone told me you could play LAN, and you can't.

I don't knowingly buy any new PC games that don't have it. (yes, I am still playing COD4, C&C Red Alert 3, and FSX...)

I really want this game, but, if i can't fire it up in a hanger in the middle of Iraq without an internet connection and play with my fellow soldiers via a network switch, then I won't buy it, at least not until it's $2.99 on sale on steam in 2012, and then I probably won't play it much.

1st. in line in a Ju52
As someone said earlier its is actually kind of a last hope. Nearly nothing in the last years has kept me playing as long as did RO/DH/MN/RT. Even Battlefield 2 despite being ingenious in its own way has not made me play so much time as RO did without loosing the fun or becoming boring.
