Please set the Tank AI into the idle mode.

Tank AI ruined the game at every map with tanks... the tankist only need to place his tank well and no one can kill em and will die.

It happen again and again... today it was at Red October the German tank was well placed at the left flank and kill more than 50 Russian (maybe 49 kills by tank AI). our tank was useless and the most time of the first locktime it was burning...

So the Panzer IV kill a lot of the russian infantry and all other russians who try to come over the right flank into the first building were killed by the german infantry.
Locktime... over and out.

This Tank AI need to remove. I

Great news!
I've been playing more lately, since the last patch boosted my performance somewhat. Really starting to have faith in TWI now. Still having some issues with the game but seems they are being looked into.

And also, new maps sounds awesome!! :IS2:

Performance and SDK are crucial and I'm very pleased they are the first things you mention... but PLEASE remember to keep an open mind regarding the gameplay changes - I know it's really a difficult decision to change something you labored over and finalized already....

However, I think the community reaction to less assault weapons has been 99.9% positive. I'm personally a big proponent of nerfing the avatar in regards to sway and stamina (as well as making the avatars more similar (realism mode only))... as well as a long hard look at bandaging....

Alright, now bring RO1 gameplay back.

What aspects of RO1 gameplay do you mean? This will be a lot more constructive if you're more specific. To me it was a good thing in RO1 that it was a little harder to hit someone than in RO2...not that zoom is necessarily a bad thing, but it needs to be standardized. My suggestion is have a toggle between no zoom and a fixed zoom level representing the human eyes ability to make out objects at long range--in other words no more zoom than is necessary to do this at a realistic level. This would be the same no matter what weapon you were using (scoped rifles are an exception of course) and would be non adjustable by config file or any other means if it's possible to do that. There would no longer be a "hold breath" key that further increased the zoom level, the enforced zoom level would already take this into account (remember you can toggle to no zoom for shorter ranges). Add just a little sway to this a little at a time until hit/miss ratios are a little more believable & I think you would have it.

Anyway people putting cucamonster down or telling him to think before he posts should consider this: RO1 may not have been perfect but it obviously must have had positive aspects, or RO2 would not exist.

I just finished playing my rounds for the night and i have noticed EVERYONE complaining about HUGE ping issues.. especially in servers with more than 40 people playing at a time, ping spikes of up to 800+ ping and most of the time i see everyone complaining about their ping being at 200+ at all times...

I just want to let TWI know that this is the biggest issue at the moment.

I LOVE this game and i want the community to grow, make PING issues priority, i don't care about anything else right now but the ping problems.. this is the cause of the low player counts at the moment.

I have talked to multiple clans and 90% of them are saying they wont play until the PING issues are fixed.

Please TWI, make Ping priority for the next patch, it is so badly needed :(

Actually, nobody challenged cucamonster to think. It was actually someone that made a post (which was satirically critical of RO1) in response to cucamonster's post that was told to think before he posted.

And I don't think you would get much resistance to the thought that RO1 had many positive things going for it around here. But the response to cuca's post was later explained by the same poster to be a response to the "idol worship" status that some ROosters have seemingly elevated the game to in these threads.

Sigh ... I made the mistake of giving the new build a try last night. One available server filled to 64 player capacity, and a few with 1 or 2 players and bots. I gave it a fair try, and found that, 5 or 6 weeks after I quit playing, I still couldn't even hit a bot in a small room from under 10 feet away with an Mkb42 and numerous attempts. As always, long range headshots no problem.

A problem since the first hours of DDE release, and still not even word that they even have a clue what the problem is, let alone what might fix it or when. Sorry, unacceptable, time for something I rarely use ... the uninstall submenu. :mad:

Thank you for the update!

BTW, are there any news for features such as coop campaign, hosting local server, practice mode, and other things that was announced before but moved away for future patches?
It has been few month since the game came out, but heard nothing about progress on these promised features. :confused:

My concerns are mainly with the high pings and I am glad you are adressing this now.
Also the upgrades must be made optional. As soon as my G41 is level 50 it will be next to useless with the funny scope...same with the MkB though I have not levelled it much.
Another annoying bug is that sometimes weapons are being picked up automatically if you stand over them...

Hmm, this post seems to have disappeared - self-deleted, or moderated? Anywho, I completely agree - some great examples in this thread too. People simply saying "Thanks for the update! Cool" - being downvoted. Next to useless, although it does a good job of showing how stupid and/or petty some people really are - shame we can't see their names eh? :) Probably best they remain a statistic actually, we wouldn't want to give them credit for anything.

Sounds like he did think. I loved RO1 gameplay but I had to learn to love it. And it took a while. But just because he intimated it was not great doesn't mean he didn't think. It does mean he apparently has a different opinion than you do though.

CrossTrain for president, basically :)

Except for some problems about hit detection in very close quarters, close combat close, as well as versus players in trenches (where there are some serious hit detection issues), this problem that you describe is not something I can recognise from my own playing experience. Quite contrary in fact, 2-10 m is the optimal hitrange if you want an easy shot.

Are you sure it is not just you that are having aiming difficulties?
