I think we may have some news tomorrow that will make (some) KF1 players happy

Calling it right now. Patriarch. There was a post on the Killing Floor 2 Facebook page that mentioned the picture of him in Biotics Lab. I'm crossing my fingers! I want to see what his redesign looks like!

I honestly feel bad for you guys. This should've been an exciting and rewarding time for you, to finally be able to reveal what you've been working on. But 10+ pages of pessimism makes it feel like few people are going to be happy with what you've come up with. Stay strong guys, you can do it! The silent majority of us are still excited and happily awaiting new content

Funny how people go left and right about early access, thinking they're onto the next hot s**t when they state that a company is required (or isn't) to finish a game in a conceivable timeframe with the EA money.

TW is not legally required to present us a finished game.

TW is morally required to present us a finished game.

Morally, EA does entitle you do a complete product, even though it's not legally enforced. It's what they set out to do, and it's what you as a costumer expect.

Anyway, completing the game as fast as possible and keeping most people happy is in their best interest, because a ****storm that stains the company's name isn't too good for business.

Releasing content as fast as possible is also in their best interest because EA titles loose traction very quickly, and without regular content they could end up with a crawling playerbase and worn out game at release.

They're a business, and they probably know all of these things. They're probably still trying to tell head from arse with all the EA release fuss.

  • TWI suggests news updates roughly every two weeks
  • Eight days pass before portions of the user base start to get angry
  • Hint regarding news update given, pretty much right on time
  • People still angry
  • [fast forward to content update]
  • Users consume new content at rate of knots, the kind of voracious feeding you'd only hear about in an Alexis De Tocqueville quote
  • Once temporary pacification fades, anger continues for next update
Repeat ad nauseam.

"We're angry that Tripwire isn't giving us updates on the schedule they laid out, even though we're too impatient to wait for that deadline!"

Is all this thread ultimately has amounted to aside from the dev posts themselves.

Throngs of people who registered a week ago defending TWI so fervently just makes this whole thing look bad. Just saying.

Taking the piss out of people with absolutely no patience, doesn't equate to "defending TWI fervently". I want new content as much as anyone does.

However, this isn't the biggest issue in your life, despite your tantrums.

And people who have nothing better to do than badmouth a company despite them thus far adhering to what they'd promised looks even worse.

First page or so of the thread? You were all excited about Manor, saying 'now this is Killing Floor' or some such.

We're all excited, we're all hungry for even the slightest scrap of information from Tripwire on new perks, new weapons, new maps, new characters. Anything, really.

So sit down, quiet up, and enjoy the update we're getting today. It's gonna be great.
