I'm fairly certain that Ramm mentioned that there will be interruptible reloads
He did, in multiple previews from various gaming websites. You WILL be able to interrupt reloads in RO2.

Another think I'd like to know alot more about is the destruction system. Will we see chunks of walls being destroyed? Parts of stone walls? Parts of fences? How extensive/detailed will it be?

A few...

A few...

  1. If they intend to release flamethrowers or petrol bombs in the initial release? Or if they even intend to release them later? If Rising Storm mods them well, would tripwire add them into RO: HOS as a mini update?

  2. Will they have mod integration with the actual game for "up to par" and "On theme" mods. For example, if someone models Romanian, Italian or Hungarian soldiers that also fought in the Battle of Stalingrad etc -- would TWI go about integrating this into the game via a forced update so that it is not a separate mod?

As 'Carpathian Crosses' showed in RO: Ost, despite a professional mod, the need for a user to find out about, download and separately start the mod means that it causes a divide in the community that ultimately leaves the mods unused.

If TWI were to integrate them properly as an update then all users could take advantage of it and it would not in fact cause a community divide.

...Obviously this would only take place for mods or game assets produced that TWI feel compliments the game in a positive way and that are of a professional standard. The final decision on which assets make the cut would lay with a TWI representative and creating an asset != instantly going to be in game.

(Perhaps a subsection of the forum moderated by trusted players where only the best assets then get passed on to a TWI representative for evaluation and implementation so as not to inundate the company with having to micromanage mods).

There would be conventional modding too -- But this would help pack the main game with more content, that ultimatly makes the game more fun for users and more profitable for TWI

  3. How will close combat be modelled in game and how in depth is it?
    • Are there multiple melee weapon choices? (not just one per class)
      -Shovels?
      -Ability to throw helmets?
      -Knives?
-Fists? (if your rifle is shot in RO: Ost you're weapon less as if you have no arms)
      -Feet?
      -Bayonets?
      -Rifle butts?
      -Environment objects as weapons?
    • Is it similar to RO? (depending on the weapon in hand, quick "stab/jab" and hold for a more powerful "stab/jab").
    • Or have they gone for a 'COD' esque sweeping uber knife?
    • Or a more in depth but still simple to use attack and parry system?
    • Is there a grappling system? (wrestling? Grabbing weapons? struggling, throwing and punching?)

:)

Hey, good opportunity to get some old questions answered:

Is there ranking-up achievement based on kills-to-deaths factoring?

How static are the radios and can communications gear be moved?

Can the comm gear be knocked out?

Will there be player-commanded airstrikes?

How will the command device work for MP teamplay? Is it exclusively for issueing orders to bots?

- Next to details about the hero & ranking system and close combat, I want to know about eye candy:

Ask him if there will be some possibilities for player customization, variation in uniforms/headgear/equipment, if the game will also include winter camo (if yes, typically field-made, the originally produced one or both) and also if there will be historically accurate camouflage uniform pieces and camo patterns f.e. on tanks.

- Will there be flamethrowers, rifle grenades and will the game mayhaps even feature Antitank guns like the PAK 38, 40 & 41 and the Soviet AT counterparts?

Just a suggestion from me for the RO community guys. Since this show is geared toward the FPS shooter community at large, could you guys avoid too many overly **** retentive nitpicky super low detail questions :) In other words, ask questions that gamers at large would be interested in, not questions that try and get the finest level of detail about everything. Just a suggestion from me. You guys get answers to the overly **** retentive nitpicky super low detail questions on these forums from me already :)

I doubt I'll be able to make it, but if I do, these would be the questions I'd ask based on this thread and Ramm's suggestion that we don't ask RO fanboy specific nit-picky questions (pistol ports?)

1) How will the progression / Hero system work? Just totals like the medal system, or something like Kill / Death ratios and order following?

2) Will we see flame weapons, like flame throwers and Molotovs cocktails?

3) Can we expect Melee combat besides rifle bashing?

4) Will we see TrackIR support like in Arma, and will that include a 1st person visible body?

5) How will Single Player be? Campaign, or multiplayer-like with bots?

I think these questions would be interesting to the wider audience, and still be interesting to the established RO community.

But Ramm... don't play the innocent now, you invoked, spawned and even more created us, the raging, bloodthursty, RO-community of total WW2 freaks craving for ultra realism!

You can't expect us to behave like normal, rational and caring human beings, which we'll never be anyway, especially not if you put us together with the usual flock of first person action shooter sheep out there.

Don’t tell us you didn’t expect us to hijack this interview for our nutter purposes and give in to our natural lust for unlimited carnage and bloodshed, if we come into contact with the usual innocent like a virgin FPS arcade gamer.

You gotta love us as we are, since we are your loving creatures :)

Melee combat is serious business. Please do tell FPS community at large the various ways we can poke, stab, slash, bash and disembowel in your new jewel of the crown . . . RO2:HOS.

I would like to know about this, hoping that this time would get attention...

Would the player be able to shoot from the APC (example: sdkfz 251) while riding in the back? In RO wasn't possible, but others could shoot you while you were defenseless.

They mentioned that some APC would be added at a later point after release, so I want to know if that would be possible to defend yourself? If possible to shoot back then in return you can use molotovs and watch them burn!

Thanks!

But see you're asking us to ask you questions we knew a year ago, or ALWAYS knew. Which is totally fine -- you're going to bring up all that stuff anyway right? You should, of course. The podcast should be spoken from an RO-retarded perspective, I completely agree.

So I guess you really just want us to figure out questions that other less informed people what to know? Hmm.

Well, my post about the nadespam was a question, and it was moved unanswered to the "ideas and suggestions" thread.

As a general observation, what we've been hearing now for many weeks from these recent media events is mostly repetition, so maybe the first question should be, are we going to learn anything new? ;)

Well, that interview has some goals for general public:
- get people know what is RO2
- what game offers
- why RO2 is better, comparing to CoD, MoH, ArmA, old RO, younameit
- why people should be interested and buy RO2
- etc

Hard to say how about new stuff. I think, if TWI would have something new to announce, it would be done in video material and shown to way bigger audience.

Not hard to say at all, and if the venue is in fact an open podcast forum as also advertised here:
