I seriously hate that my screen zooms in when I start to run and then zooms out when I stop. It is freaking annoying as hell. What purpose does it serve?

Awesome!!! what is it listed as? Which tab?

Edit, ok I see it "Disable Sprint Zoom"

I thought this was to disable all zoom as it was attached to the sprint key, not directly associated with the problem I listed. Thanks!!!

I don't remember the specific tab but it's called something like "Disable Sprint Key Zoom". It's a check box in the upper right of the window.

Yup, just confirmed, if you disable that you disable the entire zoom feature and it does not stop the annoying zoom out when you run and then zoom back in when you stop. So again back to step 1, why, why, why???

when i drive my car with ~240 km/h (~150 mph) on the autobahn the picture also kind of "zooms" - its natural -- you get more focused and concentrated on whats directly in front of you.. just try it out with your car!

But they could make this zooming a little bit delayed and softer increasing also less noticeable - just so barely noticeable.. its better when you doesnt get bumped to it, but notice it barely in intense situations..

Should be noted that this zoom is a zoom out (increased field of view). It makes it a little bit more difficult to see things in the distance but it gives you a little bit more perspective on your immediate surroundings. You see more of the ground below you, you see fences and walls that are close to you. It is also easier to see your squad mates next to you. Basically it helps navigating your immediate surroundings while moving at higher speeds.

Additionally, it gives a more natural sense of speed. If you were able to run just as fast with a zoomed in view you would feel like you were walking because less peripheral vision = less sense of motion. Try running and walking (or have a friend drive you in his car) with binoculars over your eyes, you can't really telll how fast you are going.

What is with all this zoom = focus crap. I don't get that at all. I used to ride through the forest on 4' wide trails on my Raptor at about 50Mph and I didn't get any of this zoom = focus crap, and believe me, you had to focus or your butt would be wraped around a tree in a hurry.
