Simple question: What is Tripwire doing? Are they just doing fixes, preparing the sdk for a launch or thinking about the gameplay decisions they made? I really miss a explanation of what Tripwire is planning with RO2 for the future. Is everything staying the way it is gameplaywise or will there be significant changes? Tell us please.

I also strongly suggest that TW should involve the community.

I really think that this would be appreciated. And I think this is even necessary to let the people have faith in TW again and restore some of the good amount of customer loyalty they lost.

As long as they are not working on DLC, I'm fine.

well first of all the "dlc" will be free so noone must pay for it, secondly what do you think?! guys wich model things just dont work anymore cause they should fix bugs too?!?! mappers also arent alowed to map cause they also need to fix things?!

i mean no offense but i think they are working a fixing the game AND making new content (and making the sdk)

Considering piss poor performance, CPU only sound processing (it's downright jacked up), stuttering, downright stupid gamedesign choices which pretty much ignores original fanbase, RO2 should be released in late 2012 with better optional game design choices for hardcore fans who basically play the game.

I honestly don't expect more good things from TWI.

There are games I'd like to repurchase even when I know all the flaws after playing some hundred hours.

RO2 is not one of them.

I wouldn't be amazed if they got put off by the massive amount of complaints, everytime they tried to communicate with the community.

Well, maybe if they were more forthcoming in their communication, and didn't intentionally put out a massively bugged game that clearly needed another half year of development and several months of REAL, wide scale beta ...

You make it sound like they can just blindfold themselves, take a dart and throw it at the calender in order to decide for a date, and when it just so happens to be the wrong one they can easily take the dart and throw it on a later date.

There are reasons why developers have really tight deadlines, and them wanting to release an unfinished game is not one of them.

i reckon they are working hard on RO2.
when i guess they should be doing what the big companies do 2 weeks after a release - go on holiday and count the cash lol.
seriously though is this thread a complaint about TW not talking to the community?
really?
i thought their comms were second to none myself.

Rising Storm wont be free, it will be paid for expansion pack, it was mention here in the forums by one of the developers Putz I think, he said all the DLC with the exception of rising storm will be free

People are working on a whole bunch of things - coders on fixes/debugging, artists on new content, design team considering tweaks to gameplay (but that will happen more after we are comfortable with stability). And, shockingly, we are listening to the community on that part - trick is seeing our way through the ranting :)
