i really dont think people use doom2 as a pure perk leveling map.
i play it even though im all lvl 6, just cause its quick, easy and i can chat with ppl without having to worry about losing.

i could care less if they are or arent, we are just trying to keep our server rankings high. so thats why we keep patching the map each time it gets taken off the whitelist. people want to play quick maps a lot.
there really arent any "exploitable" areas in the doom2 map, you cant sit in a single place while the zedss wont get you, but it seems the definition for exploitable is changing to "if its not hard, then it cant be on the whitelist"

i could care less if they are or arent, i just want people to play the maps i make, and unfortunately they dont want to if they cant lvl up on them.

I guess that's a matter of taste, I find challenging maps way more enjoyable. : P

well, hopefully the people doing the whitelist decisions arent basing their decisions on personal taste.

Well, even tho personal taste doesn't make exploits go away, oh well, can't do anything about it. : P

that's the only reason I put this group together. the maps with exploits that are currently on the whitelist just didn't get tested thoroughly enough and have managed to slip by without anyone reporting them or knowing how to report them.

Can i get the link please? :)

As has been stated, we only do the initial testing to make sure the map isn't a blatant leveling map. We then count on the masses to let us know when maps are getting consistently exploited. We wish we had the extra resources to pour our time into only allowing fully tested maps to get on the Whitelist, but we stated up front that we would not be able to do that and it wasn't our intention to extensively limit the amount of new maps available to players.

We are happy to have such devoted members of the community to catch the things that slip by us, but we still must make sure that it is possible for maps to get on the Whitelist quickly to keep fresh content rolling out to the masses. We have always and will continue to do everything we can to keep the game popular, as we do not settle at "well, we already have their money". We love our games and our fans too much to just let the game die or degrade to a pointless perk grind via exploits.

Thank you to all the testers making this extra effort for the good of the community!

That's the point, I don't think too simple maps should land on the whitelist, especially when their exploitable too.

Almost every single map for this game is exploitable innately not to mention other methods that make the whitelist system laughable for those in the know.

These little hissy fits people spiel around are amusing to read.

will the testing team leave a comment or post or send a message about a map not working? or will the mapper have to wait until the whitelist period is over to find out?

A private message should be sent to the author.

TWI is most likely going to report maps that don't work sooner and much more frequently then we do, though we will see.

if not, then yes but it will still be posted via Xenien since I pm all my results to him and yoshiro and those results include which maps didn't download or didn't work in general.
