There has been lots of off topic discussion in a KF2 Linux Server thread about Windows being better then Linux in the game server world. Where this can be somewhat true. Linux will always be part of the game server world.
Personally I use Linux, as I find it more fast and easy to lock down and deploy services.

This thread is about servers in general. Remember that servers are a large scope to cover and not to get too upset if one is better then another at particular tasks. At the end of the day, a blue hammer hitting nails into a wall, is no better then the red hammer.
But will all know Linux is better then Windows :3

- Just about every game has a binary made for a dedicated windows server.
- Easy to get services running with usually little work.
- Not every game supports Linux for dedicated servers (People work around this).
- Can be difficult to the uneducated when setting up a game server.
