OP, this is a (most likely) inventory report for a panzerjager division. NOT a jager division.

The difference, if you had cared to actually look it up, is that one "hunts"(jager) and the other hunts tanks (panzerjager).

This is an anti-tank crew, and should bear little relevance when looking at standard infantry divisions in Stalingrad at the time. Hell, we don't even know if this is a real document.

(BTW, if anyone is interested, it seems as though one of the few new MG42s failed. The category called Ausfall an Waffen (Weapons failures) has a 42 listed under it. Pretty funny.)

Righto on it being anti-tank (nah-nah, beat ya to it!), but it's not anywhere NEAR division strength.

I find it ironic that people talking about "community" are all people that joined this forum in the last month. You know, this forum has been active for over 6 years now, full of discussions, debates, and educated discussions. It's not like the community started when you people decided to register in the last two months ...

And the things we are "whining" about are issues that have been discussed in depth on this forum. So try reading up and doing your homework before calling us all morons.

This.

I'm thinking that's captured equipment put into and/or available for service for this unit. If you look at the top, that's the complement of officers and men for each of 2 battalions and a few smaller units within the larger unit. Either an ad-hoc unit (task force) or maybe an anti-tank regiment?

Yes, that's what I meant, loot captured by them and put into service.

Yeah, I meant battalion, but I honestly just didn't feel like editing it after I noticed I was using the wrong nomenclature.

First of all, I don't think there were any anti tank divisions. These units were smaller formations, like batallions for instance.

Second, on the top of the document it says "IR 54". That is the 54th Infantry Regiment, part of the 100 J

Silly me. Got all caught up in my little post that I saw "sMG" and thought "Oh! Clearly that mean submachinegun too."

My bad. :D

Sorry folks! The main gist of the post was just to cite that I'm always let down after looking at the forums. Seems a lot of griping over a genuinely decent game - and griping after stuff that people can work through and deal with. If it isn't one thing, it's something else.

I'll remove the original manuscript. Excuse my silliness. It was also 2am. ;D

The attachment is as far as I understand it, is listing what the regiment had on hand at the time of the report, manpower and heavy weapons...

1st battalion had 201 personnel (as of October 22nd 1942) with 5x MG-34 LMGs, 4x MG-34 HMGs and 2x MG-42 HMGs as well as 4x Heavy Mortars (81mm) and a pair of Light infantry guns (lig 18s)....

It's from the 54th Jager Regiment that was part of the 100th Jager division (which was at Stalingrad)
it's OOB was that of 3 battalions of 3 jager companys each with 12 LMGs, 3x light mortars (50mm) and 3x Anti tank rifles, A MG company with 12x HMGs and 6x heavy Mortars (81mm) and a Heavy Company with a pioneer platoon, a ATG platoon (it seems to have a pair of 28mm AT guns -"Heavy AT Rifles") and a light infantry gun platoon with 2x 75mm guns.

Regimentaly it has a AT Company with 4x 50mm ATGs, 6x 37mm ATGs, their is also 2x 150mm Infantry guns and a bicycle platoon (part of the HQ company).

As such the provided chart is missing it's 3rd battalion (lost?, detached?) and it has under it's command a pioneer company (perhaps the battalion platoons in a dedicated element? -this was some times done). It also has attached to it the 3rd company of the divisional engineer battalion as well as a unit from the divisional AT battalion.

In any case this regiment has taken quite a beating, it's down to about 25% strength.

Edit: The listed AT guns I gave is what it's Kriegsgliederung lists, it's to say what it's supposed to have not what it actually did have.

Edit #2 Jager Regiment 54 did have a regimental pioneer company.

All that I want from the game is that people stop shooting back at me. It's not fair, just because I shoot at them they then get ratty with me and start shooting back.
Don't they know that it's all about ME? :p

Unlike WWI, which consisted of lots of bolt action rifles and long range combat, WWII was a much more urban conflict, which required the use of things called "Sub machine guns." AKA weapons that were mobile enough not to require long set up times, and configured for use of highly mobile infantry (cough assault cough).

are you dumb? ww1 was a medieval war with bayonets as swords and guns as bows. it was running to the enemy trench and then stab everyone. ww2 was more like long rage combat but only city maps (ofcourse...) were close quarter combat!

idiot...

I don't quite know how to respond to this level of ignorance.

I'm so upset! Russian weapons are SOOO OVERPOWERED.

This one time. I was running across an open field. when all of a sudden i fall over! Someone had shot me in the head! SINCE WHEN DO SOLDIERS DIE AFTER BEING SHOT IN THE HEAD? Atrocious!

Next, I was running around in this building with my friends. We were all using those MKB rifles because they clearly single me out as a CoD player, even though most battalions in the german army were machine gun focused! OUTRAGEOUS. So anyways, back to the building. This russian soldier SPRAYS with this super fast gun, and omg, i died. SO OVERPOWERED.

...i don't like these forums anymore.

they turn people off to the game because all people do is whine and moan about not getting their way. when you post, please stop including things like. "We ALL hate this blah blah blah blah whine whine." I do not agree with you.

you are playing a realistic, first person shooter set in the historical WWII city of Stalingrad, where well over a million men and women lost their lives.

Unlike WWI, which consisted of lots of bolt action rifles and long range combat, WWII was a much more urban conflict, which required the use of things called "Sub machine guns." AKA weapons that were mobile enough not to require long set up times, and configured for use of highly mobile infantry (cough assault cough).

the elitist snobs heading up a majority of the posts on this forum herald a day when all of the heathen axis swine shall curtail the use of SMG's and resort to fonder days of the bolt action rifle. (I removed the percentage cause I'm somewhat math stupid. :D)

+1... i'm tired of all the crying babys in here. At least, when a diaper is changed on a baby it shuts up.
