1) I'm worried that a lot of maps will be excluded, like Smolensk Stalemate for one. I mean like they would not do a remake of it, as a Stalingrad variant, like what they are doing for Danzig.

2)24/7 Danzig servers

3) Tanking may get old, being so few options. Yes they are cool but after a while, seeing the periscope when you move etc, doesn't make up for this or that.

4) There won't be as many custom maps.
They already said they'd be having custom map contests and stuff like they had for KF and RO1. (which I remind you got us the best map IMO for RO... Leningrad... well actually, tied with Konigs for me)

i am Worried about the CO-OPS of HOS and Rising Storm.

i Really hope that they become a great aspect in the game.

CO-OP with my friends means almost everything that a game can give to me.

tied with stalingradkessel instead of konigs, never liked that map for some reason, think it was the useless russians that couldn't take points :troll:

True, but it does take longer to crate maps on the UE3 engine, not really because of the engine itself, but because it's a much more capable engine, and people will expect more of the maps.
The better the graphics, the longer you have to spend caring for the details, that's just how it works out in the end.

So with that in mind, it is possible that fewer maps will be made, just because it takes longer.

Or will it!? Because RO2 is attracting a lot of modders, both because TWI are so mod freindly, but also because the UE3 engine is very attractive, but there hasen't been a really good UE3 engine game that both came with the SDK, and also had an established playerbase for modders to cater to (UT3 was supposed to be that game, but it failed, hard).

So whilst development might take longer, we just might also get more, simply because there could be more active modders.

Some player model animations like dive-to-prone which looks in Ostfront like a bit dolphin jump. I learned during Wehrdienst (basic military duty service) that one weapon is to be kept with the weapon and the other one shall be used to "soften" the impact on the ground. Ostfront has you with both hands on the weapon and it looks painful.
The other animation and well yes gameplay is melee combat. The only media piece we have seen here is a screenshot showing a Red Army soldier stabbing a German. It seems we still don't know what's now with the rifle buttstock smack. Will it be again the awkward Ostfront melee or an advanced RO Modstyle melee? Will melee also make use of the virtual organ system?

Gameplaywise I'm a bit worried about newcomers. I wonder if there are again those morons shooting you because you got the better suited gun for the current map. In the opening days of Ostfront it happened a lot to me that bolt-action armed teammates shot me in my back to get my smg.

Player model textures, sometimes I believe that the recruits are much too clean. The Wehrmacht units there have been marching through almost all of European Soviet Russia and it looks strange to me that the field tunics look like fresh from the storage racks. Not on all pictures, but some.
Same goes for the Red Army guys. It would be cool if you were crouching or prone on dirty ground and when you get back up your field tunic and trousers got dirty.

I'm worried about Character progression and Heros. More so I guess because I personally strongly dislike any type of ranking system.

So I guess my main fear is that players and newer ones to the game will ditch team play and focus on their own efforts, to "stand out", get better weapons, increase their stats, etc. Which could possibly lead to a lot of run-n-gun. Or worse yet tk'ing for your "better weapon"
What better weapon is there than communication and teamwork? Why do people keep missing that,....in realistic multiplayer?

I really like RO and Tripwire but I gotta be honest. When these features were announced, I cringed.
That been said, I do hope it does work out well.

Except two points (fantasy weapons and recon aircraft) that's what I'm afraid of, because there isn't enough info available to debunk by fears.

I'm not worried about much at all. One thing I can say is I hope the MG42 will be unlockable for a 'Hero' MG gunner considering there is more evidence of some MG42s at Stalingrad than the Mkb42.

It's just the Countdown game-mode. Respawns work as usual in territory.

Ehm, I though spawning on your squad is part of all the game-modes which have spawning... And yes, if that's part of territory mode, than I'm worried about that too.
I like to play as MGer, and I like flanking or going behind enemy lines cutting off incoming enemy reinforcements. With the new spawning system that would be impossible. Plus I'm worried about a whole 10 people squad spawning inside a house that you've almost cleared.

Im worried about too many close quarters combat maps where a bolt rifle will be almost useless as others have stated,I would like to see a Mamayev Kurgan type map where I could see an enemy 500 yards down and nail him. Or a train yard type map where you could get some 300/500 yard shots. I just hate those COD multiplayer maps - a 100 yard square with just running and gunning - horrible! Im not too worried though,Tripwire knows how to make a fine game

-Leveling
-recon aircraft So? All it does is observe the area and it can't spot people indoors.
-Mkb.42 in Stalingrad? dream on As long as these types of guns are rarities, like one guy out of the whole team, then I don't mind, I've seen pics of soldiers in Stalingrad with PPD's and soldiers later on in the war with scoped MP44's.
-unlocks Same here, I don't want to see any unlocks.
-"accessibility" The game can be realistic but still have smoother controls.
-heroes I want to see it where instead of you "leveling up" to hero, that whoever is the highest scoring guy on the last match gets to be the hero.
-too much focus on Danzig like clusterf*cks One of the great things about RO is the diversity in maps, yes theres close range arenaish maps, theres also long range pixel shooting maps, theres also human waves maps, tank maps, and anything in between, part of what makes the game so fun is different maps, but I do want to see a bigger version of Danzig with more room for rifles.

Except two points (fantasy weapons and recon aircraft) that's what I'm afraid of, because there isn't enough info available to debunk by fears.

+ mobile respawns, those were nightmare of clanwars in Battlefield 2. That also might ruin typical RO gameplay and strategies.

However, I hope when we get HoS into our hands that would surprise us and our worries are unneeded.

Still isn't realistic, and I'm not here to argue about it.

There still is not one tiny piece of evidence that the Mkb.42 was even near Stalingrad. And don't put up a "prove that it wasn't there", as it's pointless and impossible.

At the end of the day, this is a immersion-breaker for me, but not a deal-breaker. How many are going to be available is an important factor.
The game can be realistic but still have smoother controls.
This is a reference to Grobut's post here.
"Accessibility isn't really defined, and is too vague of a term to in- or exclude anything.

I want to see it where instead of you "leveling up" to hero, that whoever is the highest scoring guy on the last match gets to be the hero.
We still have no information of how it's going to work, so speculating about it doesn't really serve any purpose.

One of the great things about RO is the diversity in maps, yes theres close range arenaish maps, theres also long range pixel shooting maps, theres also human waves maps, tank maps, and anything in between, part of what makes the game so fun is different maps, but I do want to see a bigger version of Danzig with more room for rifles.
Thing is that I found that 90% of RO's infantry only maps were a Danzig like clusterf*ck (Kessel, Krasny, Lyes Krovy etc.), and that there were way too few medium sized infantry only maps, or at last maps that offered some longer ranged fighting.
Now TWI comes in and say that they are going to make more CQC maps.

At the end of the day, I simply need more information about how those features and systems are going to work.
