DJ Scully is my favorite character, DJ Scully PON-3 is just too badass. That mod is sweet as hell, downloading!

Anything that is a mix of Killing Floor and MLP should go in this thread. It fits within the topic of what if KF <insert object here> were ponies!

I didn't realise so many sissy girls played KF. :p

Hey man don't diss MLP, its probably the best cartoon to have come out in the last 5 years... to be fair its best contender is Ben 10 Alien Force... I mean come on :/

Mind you Adventure Time is a laugh now and then.

P.S. Have a like Timur, Rainbow Dash saying "Havw fun dying NOBZ!" made me chuckle xD

It's good to know you're a fan as well, Jester; I was at first a little worried that all the machismo that tends to encircle zombie shooters would cause the fandom to enter a senseless rage, but it seems that everyone here is surprisingly sane and tolerant. :D

as for the haters, I really must say that you guys need to pick up your game. It really is rather embarassing.

I never really watched MLP:FiM, but everything I've heard about it is that it has massive multidemographic appeal. Girls can like it, just as men can like it, though I bet there was some wrestling with your machismo when you discovered you actually liked a show that was aimed at little girls.

I had a similar existential crisis when I discovered I liked an ANIMEZ! whose main protagonist was a 9-year-old magical girl. Yes, the girl could level city blocks with a wand that looks like a rocket launcher, but it was a nine-year-old girl.

I wasn't really expecting such positive responses to making this thread, but I'm glad we have them. As someone who loves excessively violent and badass movies/games/everything I was surprised myself to like this show. I guess it's not too surprising since I do love funny and cute things, and the show is both hilarious and cute. You know what's really funny, I became a fan of MLP because somepony else on this forum made a thread about MLP.

He got ridiculed pretty badly, and I was going to poke fun at him too, but I decided to watch an episode first before I said anything. It's pretty damn ignorant to judge someone for watching something if I've never watched it myself. Well I watched the first episode, and then I watched the second, and I was nearly done with the first season before I posted in that thread. I sent the OP a PM too, telling him how I was going to make fun of him and then became a fan instead. I thanked him as well.

A few people here are probably judging the show without ever having watched it. A mistake of ignorance which only has one remedy...

Party of One is also a pretty good introduction; if a show like that is willing to introduce the aspect of paranoid scizophrenia (?-I'm not sure exactly what she has...but severe mental illness either way), and once you notice how the voices start getting more hostile (from "I love this party" to "I don't like this person" to "you should start taking negative actions against that person"...I mean, the world is better off not knowing what the next suggestion would have been), you know just how much they really don't care for dumbing down and censorship. The show combines mature undertones (military dictators, famine, insanity), with enough cuteness, likability, originality, and great moments that it really is perfect for hitting audiences of all ages. And it's wrapped in sincerity and more cuteness to make it all complete.
Lauren Faust is a sly one, I'll admit that.

Party of One is one of the best episodes but that one is best saved for after you know who all the characters are. It just wouldn't be the same seeing Pinkie's break down without being really familiar with her character. Her filly backstory is also important for understanding why she got as crazy as she did. I felt bad for her even though it was hilarious.

Great description of the show's appeal though Timur. Even though some episodes are predictable (the target audience is children after all) it still has plenty for adults to enjoy. References to the Big Lebowski and King Kong aren't something a child is going to get.

Upon reconsideration, you're very right; while it is amazing, I suppose it would lose its impact if you didn't know the characters. It just astonishes me how dark Pinkie's character and background are, given her attitude and setting, and I feel that such a thing alone would be a good hook to this sort of audience. Well, I suppose they'll just have to encounter the episode whenever they do, but it is worth mentioning in any case.

Also, on topic,
Cockney ponies, let me show them to you
