I'm just wondering what everyone has their graphics on. I see all these posts and threads complaining about past or recent performance hits or w/e, fps and lag problems, especially from 64 man servers...

Just wanted to know what everyone has their graphics at. Do graphics really matter? Second I downloaded the game I set everything to lowest because I just want to play and have fun, running around with 10 fps isn't to me, so I'd rather have good performance than pretty graphics.

So anyone use higher graphics? Does it improve your performance (as in, kill more people or have advantage?) or do you think it just slows you down and reduces your effectiveness?

Also all you people complaining about performance hits, turn graphics on lowest, until I hear something I'm gonna say graphics don't matter at all for how effective you play.

Ultra, max everything. Even cranked up everything on Catalyst.

Run's about 45-60 FPS on average. About 30 with Fraps running.

I always disable anti-aliasing. v-sync and motion blur. Post-processing is set to low because it helps performance a lot for me. The rest I'm still experimenting with but on <40 player servers I can run most things on Ultra. Since the last patch however I've needed to scale back textures to high or medium, and most things bumped down to high.

I have a fairly standard gaming PC from 2008 with 3ghz DualCore, GTX9800+, 4 gigs of RAM and a fairly fast and well maintained harddrive, recently formatted with drivers up to date. While technophile graphics settings are out of my reach I can maintain fairly high settings at 1920x1080 with great frame rates in 2011 releases.

Being someone who has played on the lowest settings to try and gain performance, I wouldn't really recommend it. It is the ugliest thing I have ever seen in a video game and I didn't really think it was worth the ~15fps boost I got out of it.

You have a lot of missing textures on world objects, and decals are all replaced with black squares. There is no lighting; the difference between lowest and even medium settings is literally night and day, and that low lighting makes it hard to distinguish friend from foe in some situations. I also play worse (skill-wise) on low than on any other setting...not sure if that would apply to everyone, but that was what I experienced.

I stick with a mix of medium and high and get about 40-50fps on 32 man servers, and my ping is gets doubled in 64 man servers, so I don't even bother playing those....I'm using a 4 year old computer

I've played world war 2 online and love it (except for subscription) so I don't care about graphics at all. But maybe what you're saying is why I sometimes get teammates confused and am either killed for hesitating or end up tking someone

Well, what one will experience will vary over a vast range and will be directly proportional to the sophistication of your hardware. There is quite a bit documented in the support section here to help tweak your rig for best balance of fps & quality. If you have a SLI set-up, I placed a thread there which recommends a formula of settings, drivers, and profiles which should give very good results in most cases.

Lowest possible except FXAA High 1920x1080

Q6600@3.0Ghz
4 GB ram
GTX 570

The game is just very poorly optimized still. I still get terrible FPS drops and stutter on all maps even on low. When I can run any other game on max settings it means RO2 is the problem.

It is much harder to tell the two sides apart on the lowest lighting setting. Having shadows off doesn't seem to help, either.

I play with textures on ultra, the other detail settings on medium, shadows on high, lighting, FX on medium and foliage on low. AF off, but AA forced on high using Radeon Pro. Enhanced post processing. I don't take any performance hit with these settings, and only rarely get stutters, although I have set the sound to 8 channels. Dof is set very low, as I find this trashes the smoothness of my game and gives me input lag, apart from looking pretty awful.

I have a pretty good pc
AMD Radeon HD 6950 2gb.
AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition 3,2ghz
8gb ddr3 ram.
And i only get 20-30fps out of the game with the lowest settings aswell as the highest settings.
In the last stage of the beta i had 60+ on all maps (64players) with all settings maxed but now i get 30 if im lucky...

I have a Dell Ultra sharp 30" Helps alot in killing people. I find it easier to pick put targets.

But some have said the opposite....more screen to look at...i find the targets are larger...but the trade off is more screen to search.

BTW, i have core 2 duo 3.0ghz OC to 3.6ghz. with 4 gig DDR 3 and a GTX9800 over clocked when playing.

I run in High settings at the wide screen 1080 res and average about 40fps....a couple of drops now and then more so on larger full servers
(my Dell 30" natively at desktop runs 2050x1600 which when i upgrade the PC i will run the game at...cant wait to get that going in Ultra setting with evrything on.)

Everything maxed out at 1080p.

I get 50-90 fps on a single gtx 580.

Performance has really improved.

I use custom and I disable blur and DOF and I also put the detail level down, detail level is practically LOD and it makes things in the distance less detailed which gives you better performance.

Many other things dont do a lot.

I get 60fps steady almost all the time

With pretty much this
but a gtx460 instead of the AMD card

Everything on Ultra, full AA etc. Bloom and Blur off playing at 1920x1200 on a 28" screen. Max FPS 99 (might be capped at this) and never goes below 70 even in firefights with arty raining down on me

got to love 2 GTX 580 :D

My PC is Med/High end:

Q9550 @ 2.81Ghz
4.00 Gigs RAM
GTX 470

This is the first game I have gotten on this PC that it can't handle well. Quite embarrassing considering it plays Battlefield, and even Arma II (via high, not ultra) at a smoother FPS.

In RO2, I run everything on high, with AA turned to medium. Every extra turned off except light shafts. With Post FX set to low.

60 to 20 FPS; very, very inconsistent. It is worse now than it was 3 weeks ago.

But it hasn't stopped me from playing, and enjoying the game.

Almost everything on low except texture on high and lighting on medium 1920x1080 resolution. Every thing else is unchecked.

Sound 32 channel on low

I am trying to get a steady 60 fps but it still dips in the mid 30s here and there.

Everything maxed up including AA on 1680 x 1050, running at steady 50-60 fps.
Only things I've disabled is bloom and motion blur because they look absolutely horrible imo.

I was using ultra at a constant 60fps, but that 3gb patch did something to my game.

I have it running on low, with a lot of stuttering.
