Sorry, Shameless bump since the topic had drowned quite a bit.

But isnt the bullpup weak at later difficulties?

Also, according to http://forums.tripwireinteractive.co...ad.php?t=45945
The spread bonus apply to hitscan weapon.
Sometimes,i notice bullet travel for the assault rifle, mostly the AK.

So does the accuracy bonuses works for the ARs ? :s
because even if the recoil is basorbed when crouched, sometimes, even the first shoot is awfully off. like i can miss a zed at 2meter away from me, and the bullet hit the floor while i'm aiming his head. /lulz.

Right I want to clarify something, was you scoping while trying to aim at the head instantly for that to occur? I have noticed in pretty much all games, when you are trying to aim your accuarcy adjusts to the aim but inbetween that it's constantly changing which then "confuses" the bullets. They sometimes have the odd flick to go almost anywhere.

Also another theory I noticed is when you try to headshot a clot at long range with the 9mm for example, it headshots with ease. When the clot is pretty much in your face it is so much harder to hit the head. This is due to the model blocking the headbox slightly so you have to adjust your aim that little much to get your headshot.

Anyone able to back me up on this?

I hardly ever use iron sight.
i'm able to judge the center of my screen pretty well and i can do headshot from afar.

I only do it on occasion to "catch" the center again (it's very important to me, it's like recalibrating), then go into hip fire again to see around me to the max.

Then i saw on the weapon pdf that aiming reduce spreading by a ton.
But only on hitscan weapon.
And i'm not sure that assaut rifle are hitscan weapon. same for the 9mm, sometimes i see the bullet travelling.

perhaps that's where our point meet each other.

I never spray, that's it :/
I played a lot of game like CS and by such i shoot short controlled burst (3 bullet usually).
i've also noticed that letting the weapon getting in 'idle' animation helps.

So i really dont understand.

I observe a "spark" of some kind travelling from the muzzle with these weapons, but it doesn't always seem to track the point of aim. Is there a graphical element of burning powder, perhaps?

That's a tracer effect. A lot of games do it, i'm not sure why.

I think so you can correct your aim if you go full coddie.

Mate if you ever want i'd be glad to grab some games with you if you want. I have got my Commando to level 6 and have played with all perks for so long that I can pretty much use them all nicely. I can probably grab a few others to play with us on my community servers too :) Add me on steam if you're interested:

Sounds lovely, i'll add you right away.

For those interested, here is my ID :

Keep in mind that i'm french, i have hard time catching words and talking. And perhaps it could cause latency problem.
And that i've never played more than hard since my friend is terribad (really, i do like 80% of the work regardless of our perk matchup), but nevertheless we still have fun.
So i might not be used to mechanics like headshot damage reduction in higher difficulties, or 6 man teamplay.

never thought of bullpup + scar.
Oddly enough, i pair following tier weapon.
But isnt the bullpup weak at later difficulties?

Now I'm level 6 I'll often buy a bullpup and then later sell the AK to get a SCAR depending on how things are turning out and who I'm playing with. Usually I'm playing with people who can't cope with hard let along something higher. So I optimize on having the largest number of bullets. But I find it useful even on the Patriarch level, since most people have all the heavy weapons which are wasteful on the general mob. I aim to protect the team as much as possible. Being able to see the Patriarch and it's health level can be good. I've often finished off the Patriarch with the SCAR or AK as it goes off to heal.

I suspect Hell on Earth you'd not bother with the bullpup by choice. Since a Clot/Crawler/Gorefast/Stalker/Bloat head is more than a level 5 / 6 bullpup round.

I hardly ever use iron sight.

It's rare that I don't use the sight as a commando. Even though I have a very good idea of where the middle of my screen is. If I'm spraying I want to know my spray is going towards a collection of head. I find firing from the hip wasteful, even round needs to count. And I prefer the sight on the bullpup than the AK.

Now I've decided to play support, which I'm only level 1, I'll probably fire from the hip more often with the shotguns. Never used them until this weekend.

I will only go for headshots and since I consider anything lower than a Skrake or FP part of the mob, I will try and decap it with slow precise shots. Sometimes I shake my head when I see other Commando players spamming 6 shots only to kill one clot when they could have killed six clots with one shot each. :(
I definitely agree with the mob being everything less than Skrake or FP.
Headshots are always my aim, although I'm not that accurate but make up for it with reactions. But 6 spam shots on a clot, it's sad to see :/
