First of all if this isn't right section I'm sorry and mods can move this.

It might be early to talk about RO3 but I wanted to do it.
So the game needs to have Soviet Army of course :D
Now something that would bring change to the game and be refreshing.

I suggest Winter War that was fought between Finland and Soviet Union in 30 November 1939

That winterwar remains to be very popular here. Now I understand it might be important to people from Finland and Russia, but to make an entire game for this war isn't it a little bit over the top.

Disclaimer: Insulted Fins and Russians can send me their email. I will send them e-card with appologies.

I'd love to see them try something different. I would like to see a realistic Revolutionary War/Civil War (US) game.

It could be cool.

Well if they have to stay in the eastern front, it seems to me they'll trade capitals, and it'll be the "Battle For Berlin".

Though it would be nice if they could fit something for Kursk in there as well, even though that was more of a tank battle.

Quite honestly after RO2 I don't wanna see another WWII game by TWI anytime soon. When they make RO3 I sure hope it's in a 5-8 years.
KF2 would be epicly good but something totaly new to TWI is what I am hoping for.

Well, Tripwire seem pretty shoot-em-uppy at the moment. I would hate for them to make another "Modern war type game" as everyone freaking does at the moment so they can show off their new weapon where you press the A button and it shoots out a homing laser bullet to all of your targets in a flashy effect which is meant to dazzle you into submission.

Red Orchestra 3 doesn't seem necessary although maybe if they plan to start producing it in 3 years time...perhaps.

-

I'd like to see them take a step in a direction that other companies don't even dare or just lie about.

For example. A true RTS-FPS game. They could take everything from Red Orchestra 2 and make RTS elements into it. Building a base (And by building a base I mean actual structures you can walk in - I'm looking at you Nuclear dawn =| ). Command and Conquer Retaliation had buildings you could walk in but you didn't build them. It was freaking cool!.

You could then do pretty normal things like an RTS. You have one commander who builds all the buildings and produces the vehicles. He gives out some orders to guys and has an overview of the map with some fog of war. Whilst the other players are the soldiers.

-

Alternatively, I'd really like if they took a little step away from unrealistic zombie killer and realistic WW2 shooter. And went for a realistic zombie game.

Right now. There are none. The closest thing we have to a multiplayer realistic zombie game is Resident Evil Outbreak (good reference).

Now, If Tripwire could make some standard core system. You know, the usual, Moving around. Having animations for being bit by a zombie in different areas and being grabbed. Your character needing food and water. Being able to shoot and so on...The only thing you would need is a map to play and survive in. An open ended survival horror game where you will ultimately die. But its about how long you will survive.

You have a city which is your game world. So long as you have your core features in the only thing you require is extra game world to make the game interesting as you'll need to be moving around to survive. Lets take a multiplayer scenario. Lets say I wanted to play with 8 friends. I could set the server to spawn us in random locations but close together or all together in the same spot to begin our adventure. We could have in game voice communication to make it much more realistic and fun instead of using third party communication. (Remember its about the experience not beating the game).

Now I begin to wander around this random location I've spawned in and I find some stuff. Lets use slow zombies because none of our characters our super human and the main feature of the slow zombie is that they are many of them and they will corner you if your not smart. Eventually I start hearing some shots or screams or sounds and I go through into the next room to find a team mate! Yaaaay! =)

Turns out team mate got bit. What do? I could really use the extra help and we know that we can stave off the infection if we find the right supplies so lets say I keep him around for a bit. If that player dies they can just make a new character and spawn in a random location again to keep the game fun for them!

we go through a door and see a large amount of zombies lets say. We run back through the door and start to barricade the door. Or, if we can't barricade it with items we can hold the door shut with our own strength. (Lets add some character creation in there too right?! Maybe pick some starter items we can have! And appearance ofcourse).

So whilst I'm holding the door shut my team mate falls unconscious and then rises up as a zombie! OH WHATS THIS? A zombie game where you actually turn into a zombie? Why do people constantly avoid this.

-

Anyway. Short story short. Realistic Classic Zombie game where once you've got all your interactions in place such as leaning on team mates shoulders, grabbing onto ledges, holding doors shuts or moving specific items to hold doors shut, shooting, zombies grabbing and nomming on you, items and random item spawn locations and all that jazz...The only thing you need to expand on is the game world. As the game world is what will change the players experience the most!

There is nothing wrong with modern combat. There are many modern combat FPS games, but none are realistic. Assuming they stick to their routs and make an RO style game it will be great.

A realistic zombie shooter would interest me as well. Open world, co-op, realistic weapons, actually having to persevere and search for ammo, ect. I don't really like zombie games because they typically involve holding down the trigger on mindless waves of NPCs. But if TWI can make such a game as described above I would be actually be interested.

Personally I hope there isnt an RO3 for at least 4/5 years, give us time to settle into Ro2 and they way updates and DLC / Mods work.

I hope TW just focus on DLC's as expansions, obviously more tanks with the same level of detail, even just that will expand the game into a new dimension for mappers.

Then maybe a big 1944/45 Expansion with the Russians advancing into Greenland German terrirories including the likes of Volksturm, Hitlerjungen, landwehr, IS44's, Pz6B's, JagdPanthers, Panzershrecks, PPSh43's, Flamethrowers.

Then obviously maps including Battle for Berlin - Single player missions could include holding off as a rear guard for as long as possible against encircling Russian Shock troops divisions e.t.c, fighting as a lowley volksturm armed only with an endless supply of panzerfausts and zeal against the contuinous barrage of Soviet armour.

Or on the flip side playing as a Russian tank gunner in a T34, KV1 and upgrading to SU74s tank hunters, then finally to the big IS series tanks eventually becoming a tank commander and leading the final assault on Berlin.
