What a bunch of BS.

No, the answer isn't "just shoot them, be better than them".. Sometimes you can, sometimes you can't. There are all range of skills in this game and you can't be better than everybody. The point is, something that ruins the experience for other players is wrong, period. RO pushes realism more than most games and even hosts realism servers. What ruins the immersion more than some punk insulting everyone and spamming the chat, both text and audio?

Nor is it any answer to "just ignore the chat, there is nothing meaningful there anyway.". Well I do understand this suggestion, and I follow it sometimes, but there really *should be* meaningful info in the chat. I post things like "enemy snipe on second floor workers building," things like that. If the team doesn't communicate at all, you're screwed.

I know there is no simple solution, but given that this behavior isn't the norm on RO1 servers (it happens there, it just seems more rare), it is more than fair to come here and b*tch about it, imho.

I understand what you are saying, but if it annoyed me as much as it seems to annoy you, I would find a clan, join it, play on their server, use TS/Vent/Mumble, play as a team, kick bellends, have your fun.

Ive never met so many arrogant jerks in RO as ive seen in action since the final beta started.
Please God they will be weeded out when they realize they are not wanted in this fine community.
The internet and gaming in general has become such a hostile place, its amazing how brave some fools are sitting behind their pc or console.

Fair enough. For me, things are already better as I'm sticking to one or two servers that don't seem to put up with as much of that nonsense. The TWG server has been good. Last night was fine, aside from one bad instance where some guy spammed the mic with some awful sound that actually made my dog howl. Lol, who knows.

I just feel bad for others who are still running into these morons. Especially if someone doesn't know any better - these servers can be pretty harsh to new players (or old ones, maybe RO1 players who haven't been around in awhile). But some people are just jerks both online and irl so you just try to avoid them.

accident. I thought that it a german was but it was a russian.

What that boy was telling me.pfff and he kept going.

The answers from me were, i have written that i said sorry.
But he kept going.

Then i told him, i was already gaming when you walked into your

Pfuhh then it became silent.

But after that i didn `t enjoy me any further in that team.

With RO 1 i had much more joy and the people were friendly.

Haven't you ever heard the expression, "I never met a con man I didn't like?"

Like someone mentioned on the last page, if you want a good experience play on clan servers. And more importantly, take a moment to report any problems via website, TS, what have you to those servers' admins.

However, I will point out that if the chat is in the nature of "just havin fun" even if it seems vulgar to you I'm personally unlikely to do anything about it. It's a mature rated game here in the States, and your character goes flopping about spewing blood from severed limbs from time to time as just one example of why that rating was applied. If people want to curse and talk about sex acts (as long as they're being mostly respectful) that's their problem.

Personal attacks, constant spam, or any racism = ban for sure.

Just implement a way to filter out chat messages from muted players on a server. Once Tripwire get the mute feature working they might as well go the extra yard and filter out anything the muted person says in chat as well. Problem solved. Now all you have to do is put up with them in game until they get kicked or whatever.

One thing I am really getting tired of is people running up and getting in front of you when you are covering a window. I have had this happen numerous times where sometimes they are freaking clipping into me to do it. I think I am going to start putting a round in the back of their heads each time it happens.

I hate TK'ers but this seems justified.

YES! Lol.. J/k. Can't really ban people for just being jerks, but I wish I could mute them, or put certain people on permanent ignore or something.

By the way, the "are u mad bro?" thing is just way overspent and stupid. You know when someone says that in the game, they are the ones that are actually pissed about something, but all they can do is repeat a moronic meme over and over.

if hes disrupting the server causing people to leave or not even that just being an asshole to begin with then a admin should either ban or kick him its there responsibility to do so. also if they aren't initiate vote kick and hes gone.

The jerk thread lives! LOL. Was just gonna say I don't have any problem with the above.. I know some people do, they want to avoid the bad language (esp. over the mic, they might have kids in the room) and I understand that, and there are some servers set up to control that. Even on those servers, unfortunately, it's probably the most oft-broken rule, but you just have to hope for the best.

As for me, I can curse like a sailor, I just try not to do it unless the server is kosher with it (and I rarely use the mic anyway).

Definitely more concerned just about people being jerks, but part of that is my problem. I take the game (and my contribution to it) fairly seriously, I'm not all that great at it, and when someone berates me I just have a hard time ignoring it. Getting thicker skin though. Oh, and put me in a tank, and I'll have thicker skin (literally) and a higher kill ratio
