After playing for awhile yesterday, I'm guessing we have a full blown jerk invasion into RO.. Or maybe because it was a holiday, a bunch of schoolkids were able to play.

Seriously... First map i get into, my squad leader was having it out with some guy who thought he wasn't using the mortars right. There were all sorts of sex-with-your-mom comments and stupidity going on forever and ever, to the point that people were saying "guys can we just play?" and then finally, people just leaving.

Then, I get into Grain Elevator for the first time. I have to admit, I was a bit overwhelmed (the map is awesome, but complex at first). I was shooting down a stairwell at a Russian when a teammate popped into the frame, bam, teamkill. Before I could say anything, I get "you stupid idiot." nice. Guess there is no need to apologize at that point, is there?

So next I play barracks, I'm upstairs moving from room to room and i get teamkilled by someone, on the run, hipshooting. No big deal. Believe me, I am a forgiving person. But before I can even type "np", I get "thanks for running in front of me."

Wow. Really.

This kind of crap went on all day. I'm going to start taking notes on servers and stuff so I know which ones to avoid I guess, but so far, they all seem like daycare.

I've seen the same thing in game. Tks left and right and its always "your fault for being in the way." People just need to learn to say sorry if they make a mistake and relax a bit.

What I didn't get was... I must have been TKed from BEHIND(!) at least four times last night on the Barracks map as I running to a building, and I didn't get a single "sorry" from the various TKers. I guess it was somehow my fault for running away (towards the cap zone) in peoples line of vision.

YES! Lol.. J/k. Can't really ban people for just being jerks, but I wish I could mute them, or put certain people on permanent ignore or something.

By the way, the "are u mad bro?" thing is just way overspent and stupid. You know when someone says that in the game, they are the ones that are actually pissed about something, but all they can do is repeat a moronic meme over and over.

This happened to me a couple of days ago. I accidentally killed a teammate, and I promptly apologized. I didn't intentionally kill the teammate, but he simply responded with "bulls**t" and rage quit the game.

If I had known he was a jerk, I would have team-killed him earlier.

But really, the more mainstream a game is, the more of this you will see. I would say every TW game I've played gets off very easy when it comes to this. Ignore/laugh at it.

Noticed this too, lol Shot an enemy in the face 2 days ago he tells me to f*** off, Not like I was shooting him in his spawn or anything. Just playing fair and I got him before he got me. I just ignore that kind of stuff though. Learned not to feed the fire from past confrontations.

Had a few mic spammers on the Tripwire Servers last night. Some guy with a pre recorded kid saying : "CAN YOU HEAR ME CAN CAN CAN YOU HEAR ME!?" Mute button wasn't working and his name did not show up when speaking on the mic. Left the server, went into another one and I hear the same damn thing. *Facepalm*

lol I was there and heard it to. Annoying little s**t wasn't he. I waited a couple of minutes and left. Kids like that are a true reflection of their parents.

I had someone from an - apparently notable - RO:OST clan badmouthing our server and our community's level of skill last night.

I was really disappointed that a RO:OST veteran like that would be so disparaging of new players, especially those catering a bit more towards realism as we do on our custom-difficulty server.

I also noted that despite his big mouth he was fairly low on the scoresheet.

There is a lot of that, too. I don't know if they are all ROOST vets, but I'm sure some of them are (I'm an RO1 guy as well, so nothing against the vets). It always seems to be one or two guys on the mic yelling over and over for people to do what they want them to do. First off, I'm all about strategy and I follow orders fairly well.

But when it just sounds like b*tching, I get sick and tired of it like everybody else. At one point the self-appointed leader was just going on and on, and I had to remind him that part of what we are supposed to be doing is exploring the map and trying to break things.
