please go die somewhere.
Dumbest idea I have read yet.
Red Orchestra 2 Heroes of Stalingrad Most Idiot Suggesions.
Dude... just stop. You are making a fool of yourself on this forum.
Seriusly guys i would suggest some banning if i wouldnt
know that you are able to behave better than that.

But still i would say that some of you should pay
attention what you say or we have another internet
forum where people spend time insulting each other.

Also i would like to explain some things to new comers
who are propaply younger than us, at least some of them.

I know, when i was younger, i got great ideas every
third second and wanted to share them with everybody.
Nothing wrong in that.

Anyways, when posting new thread there are few things
which you should try to do in here.

1. Most of us know lot about history, units and weapons
allready. However you dont need to know anything.
But when you spot some cool units, weapons or what
ever in photos or movies or where ever. Go to wikipedia,
its not best source, but good enough and easy to use.

Now when wikipedia is allready open, check if that
kind of unit, weapon or tactics was used at all in ww2
or in Stalingrad 1942. And how common it was.

Example you have seen FG42 in movie, and you think
it would be best idea ever to be in HOS. However
if you go to wikipedia, you can see that it was produced
43-45 which means too late. And just few thousands
were made, which make it really rare.

2. Explain your idea with longer sentence than two or
three words.

3. Explain how your idea would work. If possible
draw some example pictures.

Perfect example drawing:
http://forums.tripwireinteractive.com/showthread.php?t=47247

4. Post some sources or photos, which help people
cheking if your idea is realistic. After all best
way to get some unwanted feedback is suggest
something unrealistic as we are all realism-fanboys.

I don't know where these quotes you have are coming from but I agree they're unnecessary. However, cmon, at the same time some of the new guys around here (some not all) are incessantly posting juvenile bs or reviving age old topics whilst not understanding they're faults seemingly whatsoever. They're bordering on troll level.

We want new guys, yes. Do we want new guys who have more interest in spamming topics than actually learning what this community is all about whilst employing the grammar level of an 8 year old? I'll pass on that.

I noticed OP didn't mention the members that are allowed to call themselves the "Elitist Prick's Club" that go around giving everyone bad reps and pretty much spamming their thread if they don't like it. Why the TWI development team allows that and the implementation of this rep. bar mod on their vBulletion forum is beyond my understanding. It has been pretty common knowledge on other gaming forums that the TWI forums aren't very friendly.

I understand your criticism of the reputation system, but to make ill-informed statements hurts your credibility. Unless you are a moderator or administrator, you have no evidence that members of the Elitist Prick Club are abusing the system. It's simply a user group for people who have 1,000 or more posts. I don't know why you're trying to search for some kind of scapegoat.

3000 or more tbh. Edit: I was wrong. It should be raised.

Also Hans has completely wrong idea of it

I do agree, too much negativity these days. Some people really need to learn to debate like adults. But spamming silly ideas isn't good either.

The EPC is just a silly in-joke, nothing more. Also, you probably don't realize how you come across to other people, I'm afraid you really do deserve your negative reputation.

I agree with Amerikaner on this - sort of.

You can't just join a (very active) forum for a small, like minded (for the most part), opinionated community without at least a little tact. It's like walking into a gentlemens club with innapropriate clothing and a boombox.

Especially the Ideas and Suggestions forum, where the discussion is quite aggressive (in an opinionated, factual kind of way).

If you behave reasonably, then most people will treat you reasonably. There are exceptions, and lately there have been a flood of new posts of the same old (or new, silly) ideas by people who just haven't used "Search" function. So plenty of people (myself included) have become a little short-tempered with them.

The EPC isn't some secret club that's going round ganging up on peoples rep, in fact there are only 2 discussions in the EPC group chat - one is about server hosting, and the other is a "welcome to the club" thread.
I can't think of anyone spamming a thread they don't like, could you provide an example?

Maybe I'll see if the sacred council will agree to go easy on the new guys...

Its clear that he doesn't know about realism, and while the spam can get annoying, there are much better ways to say things, and like the OP, I too find quite cruel the way some people gank on him.

Is fun that Hansy accuses this forum of being "hostile" though, when he is one that breathes hostility in every single one of his posts.

Exelent...

Susi, I'm Ok with what you posted, good.
The proof is in the eating, look how this very thread is going already...

The newcomers who have joined these forums and make, what we Elitist's may consider naive posts or threads, for the major part will acknowledge and understand that those concerned are in a learning process and is excepted as such.
This can only be considered as fair play on behalf of the EP Club.

@ Hans, we have already dialogged on another forum, the last time, you asked a question, I gave you the answer.
You thanked me.
This is how it should be.
My attitude does not change from one forum to another.
The mentioning of the EPC has absolutely no place in this quite reasonable Thread.

Elitist Pricks do not need to spam threads or hit the dislike/like buttons, (apart from BlackLabel's luvly red dots, but as I said before, that was just an experiment) :D.
The fact of the matter is, that if I considered myself that ELITE, I would not even bother to post in this thread...

I think I will go and make myself a nice cup of Elitist tea.

Oh look  a whole post without flames...

Hit your red green buttons as you wish guys, its democratic and all in good fun.

Thanks for the Tanks ...☻...:IS2:...☻...

I'm part of the 'Club' and I only give 'likes'.. so I dont know where Hans gets his conclusions from. Just because we're better than the rest of you doesnt mean we waste our time with anonymous reputation attacks; any self-respecting Elitist Prick would relish the chance to engage in overt repartee.

So, in conclusion, you first need to understand what it means to be an Elitist Prick before you can attempt to apply labels to one (none will stick however due to our space-aged Teflon coating).

I too think the EPC postcount should be raised.. at least 2,526 in my opinion >_>

The sky isen't falling just yet, whilst some of the replies to a certain newbies threads have been rather.. unkind, and needlesly so, i am quite certain said poster would have faced even worse things on most other forums i've been a member of over the years.

We're not monsters here, just opinionated pricks, because we're passionate about the subjects.

Ohh, and Hansi, you earned thouse little red squares the good old fashioned way, by making posts people objected to (and trolling the IS-2 thread probably didn't help your Rep either).
The EPC does not generally concearn itself with the peasants, it is beneath us.

The best thing you can do when you see negative posts like this is to use the report feature to alert the devs and moderators about them. We do not appreciate posts like this either.

And no, don't try and abuse the report system either. We've had a few people try.

I know it was bad for me to say it (I was the last quote) but I did send him a PM apology a few hours after having said it, and I did approach in a nicer way after. I recognized it was wrong and did what I could.
